Perfect for Grandma who might fall out of bed
It's fine, but it's really low to the ground. If you fall out of bed, you won't fall far! It will be great for my 5 year old nephew when he comes to visit.

Maybe for a 4 year old
My whole problem with this was that it just isn't sleepable. The wooden slat system is weak. If you have a little kid that is too big for a crib, fine. Just not functional because the slats are not sturdy. A very pretty but low quality disappointment.
