Love this art piece. It looks great hung on wall and getting good comments about it.Read More
This piece caught my eye and looked exactly right for my new place. The color is accurate, but it is constructed very poorly. Just three plywood squares with some shabby quality badly welded, off-kilter circles tacked into it. The circle anchors are completely visible, and shavings still sticking out. One of the circles was even partway hanging off when I took it out. Even the packaging was sketchy. This one is going back!Read More
The picture showed a bit more blue than what there actually is, but there's enough for the accent piece I wanted.Read More
this looks just like the picture. The actual circles seem to be some sort of washer (like you see on nuts/bolts) but it adds a cool industrial vibe to the piece. Overall happy with the purchase and it is unique.Read More
This abstract art looks great on my milk chocolate accent wall. The colors complement the shade of brown and also adds a pop of color. The metal and wood design add dimension and it is a great visual.Read More
I really liked this piece. I ordered it to go over my fireplace but it was actually too small. But I found another area in my home for it and it looks lovely. THe colors are really beautiful and it looks great and expensive on the wall. Would definitely buy again.Read More

Best Wall Ideas for Baby's Room
With the arrival of your new baby drawing closer, you'll want to do everything you can to prepare, including furnishing and decorating the baby nursery. A baby nursery that is filled with all the right touches will give your infant a bright and beautiful place to start life. The wall decor can set the mood for the entire room, so start with art and decorations that are fun, interesting, unique and special. Wall art appliques. Removable wall decor appliques and decals offer some of the best ideas for a baby's room. Printed plastic and vinyl wall decals come in a variety of colors and designs. Opt for a themed collection of wall art images and create your own mural, which you can easily rearrange or remove as your child grows and you want to change the room. There are also decals that display words or phrases, such as well-known lines from nursery rhymes, prayers or beloved children's books. These look especially precious when posted on the wall above a baby's crib or cradle and can set the theme for the whole room. Framed art. As in any room, framed art can be the best way to add interest and beauty to nursery walls. Art is always personal, so choose a piece or grouping that speaks to you and your family. A lovely print of a mother and child or a toddler with a stuffed toy might move you, or you may prefer something whimsical and bright. If you have not yet settled on a theme or color for your baby's room, the perfect piece of framed art could be your best inspiration. Quilts. You have probably contemplated in great detail, if not already selected, the bedding for your baby's room. What you might not have considered is using a pretty quilt to decorate the wall. Quilts make lovely wall hangings and, with elaborate patterns and multicolor pieces, they let you tie together several colors in the room. Find a large quilt that harmonizes with your nursery decor or arrange several smaller ones in a delightful wall grouping. Letters. It has long been popular to decorate a nursery with letters. Spell out your little one's name with lovely, polished silver letters hanging from ribbons above the crib or use bright, colorful letters to showcase the alphabet or your little one's initials. You can add letters to your child's nursery in a variety of ways, from hand-painting them right onto the wall to utilizing lovely lettered wallpaper. Best Bookshelf Materials
It's not unusual for bookshelves to incorporate multiple materials for different features. If you haven't decided on wood, wood products, metal or glass bookshelves, look at their relative strengths and weaknesses. Look below to learn the best bookshelf materials. Wood: "Solid wood" is a common term for furniture made from lumber planks. Beware of making assumptions based on labels like "hardwood" and "softwood." Hardwoods are derived from deciduous trees and softwoods from coniferous trees; the terms don't connote their relative strengths. Balsa is a hardwood even though it is very soft, just as Douglas fir is a softwood even though it is very hard. They all make excellent, classic stock material for bookcases. Generally, harder woods are the heavier and more resistant to scratches. Still, softer woods, if treated correctly, will keep just as well as harder woods. Plywood: Made by stacking thin sheets -- "plies" -- of lumber and gluing them under pressure, plywood features grains that alternate direction for strength. Several grades are available, of differing cost. Top and bottom plies can be high-quality woods to create the appearance of fine woods, but edge veneer or molding is needed to complete the illusion. Particleboard: Wood chips glued together carry a much lower price tag than solid wood, and particleboard is denser and more uniform. It's a great choice when cost is the primary consideration. Bookshelves crafted from veneered composite boards can look and feel as good as real wood. MDF: Wood fibers, tiny chips and sawdust collected and glued into sheets form medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Low-cost MDF makes an excellent base for veneers; plus, its strength is consistent and it shapes well. Metal: There's a reason most library bookshelves are made from metal: Metal bookcases are resistant to moisture and fungus, their low-friction shelves are easier on books' bindings and metal's strength-to-weight ratio can't be beat. Their cost usually comes in below any other material. Glass: Glass bookshelves weigh more than other types, but if you plan on assembling your bookshelves only once, the style points can be well worth it. Tempered glass shelves (in wood or metal uprights, called "standards") give your home an unbeatable contemporary feel, and glass bookcases' smooth, transparent surfaces add brilliant levity to a decorating piece that might otherwise be notably opaque and heavy. Best Materials for Cabinets
After deciding on the purpose and room for your new cabinet, it's time to think about material. As with all furniture, you will want to select a cabinet material depending on what you plan to use your cabinet for, as well as your personal taste. Take a look below to learn about the best materials for cabinets. Wood: The majority of cabinets produced are created with hard wood. Wood cabinets can be found in both traditional and contemporary designs. If you are hoping for durability in addition to design, no cabinet looks better and lasts longer than one manufactured using a solid wood. Cherry cabinets offer a sense of classic luxury while holding up to years of use. Oak cabinets conjure up the feel of subtle country beauty, and maple cabinets can look bright, modern and chic. Metal: Metal cabinets are terrific for those looking for a modern touch in their homes; most metal cabinets have a very forward-looking aesthetic, so they are perfect for a contemporary home. Metal cabinets are also great for home offices. Obviously, metal offers great durability, but it is vulnerable to dings and dents. Keep in mind that most metal cabinets have sharp corners, making them slightly less suitable for homes with kids running around. Glass: If you have something you feel like showing off, nothing is better for display purposes than a glass cabinet. These cabinets are certainly more fragile than those made from other materials, but they offer something other cabinets can't: transparency. Many glass cabinets are manufactured with built-in lighting systems to exhibit whatever you choose to place in them. Because of their show-off quality, glass cabinets are perfect for places you expect guests, such as the dining room and living room. Particle board: If you are shopping for a cabinet on a tight budget, looking into particle board cabinets is worthwhile. Particle board is a relatively new material produced by pressing wood particles together, which is then bound with synthetic resin. Furniture created with particle board is almost always the least expensive option and also the lightest, but you will sacrifice some durability. If you plan to move often, a particle board cabinet could be an ideal option. View All Furniture Back to Guides Directory View All Furniture
