This product is a great buy. I was worried about it being too warm here in Texas but have not found it a problem. I did fnd it a little stiff for my taste but I added a topper and it is now great. I am now sleeping soundly and there is no tranfer of movement so would be great for a couple.
There is no way that this mattress is 12-in thick. I was very hesitant at first to believe this and let the mattress sit for over two weeks not prior to first use. It is still not 12-in thick it 10 3/8in thick. However, it does not take away from its use. The mattress is rather firm for a Memory foam mattress. This is in part due to the 1-in thick memory foam. I have another memory foam mattress from another company ( three in thick memory foam) and it was never this firm (it is only three years old now). Overall, I am satisfied with the mattress but expected something a little more from something that said "luxury" and "soft".
All I can say about this mattress is ...what a great feel. I am yet to place this on my full-sized bed..purchased from another source... However I have tested this out on the floor. I cannot wait to get the bed asembled! I think I may have purchased the last one. It says sold out now. But keep on looking for this product.I have back troubles and this feels so firm and supportive, I may have to use my guest room myself!. This mattress comes rolled up like a giant sausage in plastic wrap and then a thick, water resistant orange packaging. It appears flat and lifeless at first. However, in two days it really fulls out. The factory plasticky odour goes after 4 days. I would reccomend a water proof matress cover. It looks and feels like luxury. Get yourself one if you have back pain.I believe it will stand the test of time. I say this because I purchased a 4 inch queen sized memory foam topper for my master bedroom three years ago and that is still as firm as the day I bought it. Thank you Overstock for great products at great prices!Will measure the inches now that the mattress has come to it's full size to inform all if it is really 12 inches. It looks like it is though.
For the first time in years I have been able to fall asleep and stay asleep all night long. And get up with no shoulder, back, or hip pain. It may not be a $2000 temper-pedic but for the money it's a great buy.
