This mattress is amazing! It's so good that I've purchased it twice! There are a many to select from but if price and quality matter to you, then this mattress is a no brainer! Please take my word for it, you won't be disappointed and plus waking up totally refreshed on a daily basis after a great nights sleep, does help! And people, getting proper rest shouldn't have a question mark beside it. With this matress, it's automatic, thanks Biopedic!!!!!!

Bed arrived 3 days after placing the order. My wife and I placed the mattress on the box spring, cut the plastic and the mattress "grew" to full size in about 3 minutes. I had read the reviews about the odors but I did not detect any odor. We slept on the bed 2 or 2 1/2 hours after removing it from the box and find it to be equal to the "high price spread".

I previously reviewed this product about 5 months ago and was very disappointed because the mattress had become very hard during the so-called degassing period giving it a one star. I also noted that there was possibly a chance that the mattress might soften up over a period of time. After several months of usage, my wife and I did notice some softening but were still less than enthusiastic about it. At that point, we also obtained a new Tempurpedic and started using that instead and placed the Bodipedic mattress into the guest bedroom. After having some very warm nights recently, we slept a few days in the cooler guest bedroom and on the Bodipedic again. At that point, we found the Bodipedic much more to our liking due to additional softening. Later, we had guests that slept on the Bodipedic for three nights, and they found the mattress to be quite acceptable as well. Interestingly, when our Tempurpedic came to us, it was also a much harder mattress than we had found in the stores. Over several months, it has also softened up a little bit and is probably still softening. At this point, while the two mattresses are different in feel, I would be hard pressed to say that one is significantly better than the other. The point here is that when buying a foam mattress, the feel may change significantly over many months possibly to the better or possibly to the worse. If our Bodipedic does not significantly change in feel from the condition it is now in, then it is a much better purchase than I first believed, but only time will tell. If one is looking for a cheaper alternative to high-priced foam mattresses like the Tempurpedic, this mattress may be the way to go.

Prior to getting this mattress, I had heard so many positive reviews about Memory Foam mattresses. I had been experiencing back pains for quite some time and believed the mattress would have a significant affect on it. The first few nights of sleep were incredible. The back pain went away and I was sleeping great. However, after the first 4-5 days the foam didn't seem to expand any longer and the mattress felt stiffer. My back pains are back and I completely regret buying this mattress. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

After examining all of the reviews on this mattress, I was a little concerned about the last review where the individual indicated that the mattress was too firm and nothing like the first mattress that she had purchased. I made a leap of faith that her purchase was an aberration, but have found out that this is not the case. It is noted on the package and on the website that it is very important to open the package within 72 hours of receiving it in order for the mattress to expand to the full 10 inches. I was home when the package was delivered and opened it within minutes (a king size). Initially, the mattress expanded to about 8 inches in several hours. I spent about 20 minutes on the mattress and was delighted that it felt much like the Tempur-Pedic Rhapsody. It was soft and molded to the body. The first two nights that I slept on the mattress I was pleased with the purchase. On the second day, however, it was noticed that the mattress was not expanding anymore and was still about 2 inches short of the stated size. By the third day, the mattress was becoming harder. Each day thereafter, it became harder and more firm and no longer molded to the body. Both my wife and I experienced back pains from it and are very disappointed. The bedroom that we use is well heated and I do not think room temperature has affected this mattress. I suppose, after time, this mattress may soften, but I have a hard time believing that it will return to the state it was in during the first two days that we had it. We will possibly purchase a topper and see if we can salvage the mattress, but do not recommend it to anyone at this point.

I purchased this bed in a full size 6 months prior to purchasing the king size. I LOVED the full size. The comfort level was amazing and I had less tossing and turning and I didn't have a backache anymore. I trusted that it would be the same for the king. Not so. It was more firm than the full size version. It did NOT form to your body like it should. Very stiff. I don't know if the manufacturer had changed and/or they changed the type of material that was used. What I do know is that I would be cautious of purchasing a bed you can not return. However, I did purchased the Sealy 4 inch memory foam mattress topper offered on the site and now I wake up with zero backaches.

delivery took 2 weeks but arrived on time, in form of a 20 inch diameter, 70 pounds giant roll. don't expect to sleep on it the first 2-3 days as it takes that long for the heavy factory smell to go away and the foam to fully expand. my wife and i find the mattress extremely comfortable, i have slight back problems that got better since i started sleeping on this mattress. i personally find this mattress better than any spring mattress i have slept on before. i hope the foam will remain flexible and won't compress after some time - as a few reviews indicated that. only 4 starts on appearance and workmanship because of the very strong initial smell and the unpleasant (plastic-like) touch of its textile cover. the latter is not a problem if you use a fitted sheet.

Great bed at a fraction of the cost of the same type name brand bed. This is the second one I've gotten (one for my master bedroom and one for my camper). Love it.

I purchased this for my college a son who moved into his own townhouse. he likes it alot and it was an excellent price.He raves at the comfort and good night 's sleep. I rated 4/5 on assembly because of the bulk of the king szed-can't be helped. This is a softer mattress-if you like a firm mattress-don't get this one.

This was purchased for our son who as a bad back. For years he has slept on an air mattress to ease his back. He says this mattress has been the most wonderful gift he has ever received. His wife says he has stopped snoring and life is wondeful again.

We got our king sized mattress two weeks ago, pulled off the mangled box and opened the neatly plastic-wrapped mattress. We weren't believers the first 1/2 hour or so because the mattress looked so skinny and awful. There were other things to do around the house so my husband and I left it for a good two hours. When we returned we were surprised to see how full the mattress had become. Our nine month old son approved of it immediately and jumped around on it enthusiastically. It has been amazingly comfortable since that night for all three of us and now we all wake up smiling and with plenty of room to spare. We have reccommended this mattress to friends who were thinking of upgrading and were considering Tempur Pedic. In our opinion this mattress equals or exceeds the quality of that brand for a 1/4 the price. Delivered in the morning and we slept on it that night, though it still smelled a little chemically for a day or so. Now it's great, not too firm and not too soft. We rate it a 12 out of 10.

So, I wanted to wait 6 months after I received the mattress to write a review, and I'll have to say that this product has definitely kept it's shape and "memory foam" attributes and I'm very happy with this purchase thus far. A few things: when I read the other reviews, I was a little concerned about spending so much money buying something I've never seen online. Thus, I had tremendous concerns about the smell and firmness. For me - there was no real smell when I unpacked the mattress. A slight "new packaging" smell, but nothing that other spoke of. So, if you get something stinky - just open the windows and you should be fine. The packaging is definitely BIG and bulky, thus you'll need TWO people to move/unpack this monstrosity. But it's very easy to clean up. As for the firmness - I was expecting it to be REALLY REALLY REALLY firm. But you're also talking to a woman who enjoys sleeping on the floor. Thus, I was slightly dissapointed that it wasn't hard as a rock. Don't get me wrong - it's still firm, but the memory foam quality allows you to sink into the mattress which makes it a little softer in my opinion. As to the heat - I suppose there is a slight warmth to the mattress. However, during the fall/winter - it's rather nice and cozy. During the summer, I just covered myself with less covers. Definitely recommend this product to anyone! I think it's a great value for a descent night's rest.

For the most part this mattress is comfortable and I recommend buying it. The ONLY problem I have is it's uncomfortable to sleep on my stomach. The foam tends to sink in the stomach area because we lift our head and upper torso to be on top of our pillow, so your stomach tends to "dip" into the mattress like an upside down spoon (if that makes sense). I sleep half the time on my back and half the time on my stomach, so whenever I wakeup from having slept on my stomach I have a lot of back and stomach pain. If I sleep on my back I feel fine in the morning. If you only sleep on your stomach, this may not be the mattress for you (unless you don't use a pillow to raise your head). If you only sleep on your back you should like this mattress.

Negatives: If you or your sleeping mate is heavy/bigger in one part of the body (I am over 200 lbs and heavier in the stomach), the mattress will begin to create a depression in that area of the bed. This can cause back/hip pain, and make it difficult to turn over outside the sleeping depression your body creates (its like climbing a hill in your sleep). This occurs sooner (4-5 months) than a traditional mattress wears out, but the resulting discomfort is not as painful as the pressure points a traditional mattress causes. This pain comes from part of your body being too low rather than your body lying on a hard surface (springs). When a traditional mattress wears out ALL parts of your body hurt as they are in contact with springs. This mattress allows part of your body to lie to low which causes pain in that area of the body. Positives: The look, feel, ease of assembly (open and allow to unroll and fill out gradually), lack of motion transfer, and overall comfort are all very good. Also, I was surprised at how thick the mattress is. Ten (10) inches did not seem that thick to me, but my standard sheets barely fit (they are not deep pocket sheets). This could be a positive or negative depending on your own needs. Delivery time was faster than expected, but the delivery driver was 1 person and female. I had to help her carry it into the house and then move it to the bedroom by myself. You might want to plan for that. Overall I give this mattress a Good rating. It will take much more time to see how long it lasts (I've had it 6 months), but mattresses don't last long for me primarily because of my weight and body shape. My partner loves it and experiences no pain/negatives.

We purchased a king Tempurapedic foam mattress last year for our main residence and absolutely love it, so when needing a new king mattress for our vacation home we really wanted to go with a foam mattress again but didn't want to spend the big bucks we spent on our first mattress. With much trepidition, I ordered this king memory foam mattress, hoping that we would not be disappointed. We are so glad we took the chance! We feel that this mattress is as comfortable as our Tempurapedic, at a fraction of the cost. I was really pleased that the chemical smell on this mattress wore off immediately and was okay to sleep on the first night, where as with our Tempurapedic, the smell was overwhelming for days and lingered on for almost a month. I actually had to completely strip my bedding each morning to air the mattress out before I could even get into it at night to sleep. The outer covering of this mattress is no where as deluxe as my Tempurapedic, but at almost five times the cost, it should be. Guess the real test will be the test of time and how the two mattresses compare over the long haul, but again, at this price I could purchase four more mattresses before I equal the cost of our Tempurapedic. I would definately order another one should I have the need and have already recommmended it to several friends.

This is a wonderful mattress. I have a king sized bed and had been sleeping on a very nice spring mattress with a 4" memory foam topper. I have heard such good things from friends about the memory foam mattress and after sleeping on a topper for three years I decided to take the plunge. I went onto Overstock and found the best prices and read all the reviews and decided on this one. The mattress came on time and I removed my spring mattress and box springs and placed wood slots across my bed frame and then purchased some sanded plywood 1/2" thick and placed over wood slots and then opened the memory foam mattress and placed it on top and also added my 4" topper and let it sit for one day and that first night I had my best nights sleep. I woke up the next morning feeling energized and feeling that I really got a good nights sleep. Normally I have some lower back pains, but not anymore. I love this mattress and you will too. This is a must for anyone not getting a good nights sleep or if you are waking up with back aches. You don't need to spend a fortune on a much higher priced memory foam mattress. This has been the best purchase I have made on Overstock.Com. Trust me you will be glad you did.

We purchased the 10 inch Memory Foam mattress for our king size bed and love it. We had no trouble adjusting to our new mattress, it felt wonderful the first time we slept on it. We are sleeping better than we have in a long time! Love this mattress and highly recommend it!!

The matress is just way too soft. It is not like the one that a friend got with the same product description. Very disappointed.
