This is the second mem cool I have purchaced. It is comfortable and gives just enough soft craddleing for the body. It is cool as well. I have used other memory foam in the past and found it very "hot" for sleeping. I have already recommended this item to a friend who is waiting for it to arrive.
I had been experiencing significant lower back pain, even though I sleep on an old Sleep-Comfort mattress with its adjustable air settings. Sleeping on my side became just intolerable. The reviews about the memory foam were positive in this regard - and also promised little (if any) problem with feeling too warm. Others were right on with their reviews! I sleep very well now!
Red Mildew after 1-1/2 years. Bought it in June, 2008.
Tried the 4-inch memory foam topper but it was too thick for us - a struggle to turn over and hot. The 2-inch mem-cool was the right fit, not too thin, not too thick, not too warm. I no longer wake up repeatedly during the night, trying to get comfortable. Before I would have pain in the lower back, hips and shoulders, now I sleep in comfort. Our mattress is in great shape, just not as soft as I would prefer, this topper makes all the difference. Warning - it is difficult to adapt to other beds now!
THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT FOR ANYONE NEEDING A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP. CONFORMS TO YOUR BODY WEIGHT AND TEMPERATURE. THIS IS A WEIGHTY PRODUCT UNLIKE SOME FOAM TOPPERS. AN ABSOLUTE MUST FOR SOMEONE THAT HAS TROUBLE SLEEPING.
