Customer Reviews
My spouse's coffee maker quit working and needed replaced. He wasn't happy with standard electric coffee makers, because the water never got hot enough to brew the coffee to his satisfaction. I found this manual coffee maker on Overstock. If you like HOT, well-brewed coffee, this is for you. Just boil water and pour over the grinds into your Melitta manual coffee pot for delicious coffee. My coffee drinker is very impressed with the results.
I have a small kitchen and don't have the room for a coffee machine on my counter top. This Melitta fills the bill. I can either make one large cup of coffee by using the filter top directly over the coffee mug or I can use the filter top on the pot and make 6 cups. I usually make the whole pot - stick it in the refrigerator after it cools off . I warm up a double cup in the microwave, each morning as I am getting ready for work. I don't have a silly massive coffee machine sucking up electricity all day long either so I save money that way. I had one of these Melitta's years ago but can't recall what happened to it. The cost of 40 filters to use in the filter top is about $2.50. I use the 8 O'Clock Hazelnut ground coffee and it makes a fabulous cup of coffee. I don't see how you can beat it for the price.
