We've had this coffee maker a long time. Our best guess has been about 3-5 years and love it. It is easy to clean, easy to use and has been durable. It also makes great coffee. We actually were looking for replacement filter - ours through normal wear-n-tear has ripped a little - if we can't find the part, we'd buy this machine again. Unfortunately, it seems that this product may have been discontinued. If anybody ever wants to get rid of theirs let us know!

This pot makes great coffee and is so easy to use! It is very classy looking. It is so easy to make coffee, even if I forget to set it up the night before, I can make coffee in the morning while half asleep. It's that easy!

My husband had his heart set on a Cuisinart grinder/coffeemaker, but after reading the reviews on the Melitta, I was sold. Our coffeemaker arrived promptly, and we used it that evening. It brews a great cup of coffee, and I especially liked ease of cleanup with the brewbasket, the one-button start, and the relative quietness of the grinder. Other customers have claimed the one drawback with this coffeemaker was a 10-cup pot versus a 12-cup, but a 10-cup quality product beats a 12-cup name-brand disappointment anyday.

We purchased this coffee pot (grind/brew) to replace our "other" pot that was starting to malfunction (parts sticking etc.). So far it's been great....makes a great cup of coffee. I really like that you can choose the coarseness of the grounds. Only disappointment is the glass pot vs. the stainless steel carafe with the "other" pot. Oh, and it's easy to clean...which was a major pain with the "other" pot.

I really have enjoyed this coffee grinder/maker. It is so nice to wake up to fresh brewed coffee each morning. If I had one thing, it would be nice if the grinder were a burr, but not sure how that would be acheived.

I have checked into several automatic coffee makers with the grinder built in, By far this machine is the best value! The coffee is excellent, the machine is easy to clean and simple to use.

This coffee maker makes the best coffee I've ever had - better than Starbucks or Alterra!!! The grinding of the beans right before brewing makes a HUGE difference. I'd highly recommend this machine to anyone who likes a really good cup of coffee! EXCELLENT VALUE!

This is my second one of this coffeemaker. The first one lasted at least 5 or 6 years with daily use. The old one still worked mechanically but the plastic pieces were starting to break off. The new version of this coffeemaker appears to be much more durable (thicker plastic) and in addition the plastic is smoother so it's even easier to clean. I highly recommend this coffeemaker and overstock's price is great, too.

Searched for quite some time to replace our old Black and Decker but virtually every product we considered had reviews ranging from fair to terrible. That is, until we stumbled across this Melitta model. Because the reviews were consistently good to excellent, we decided to purchase. So far, very pleased with this product. Cannot speak to durability after only 3 weeks of use but every other factor is an absolute plus. Excellent coffee and easy to clean. The only minor complaint is that the warming plate only stays on for one hour. We have purchased another to give as a house warming gift.

I absolutely LOVE my new Melitta Coffee Maker!!! I read ALL the reviews on several brands before making my puchase. The reviews for this one were 100% correct...its easy to use, easy to clean up AND most important...it makes a GREAT cup of coffee!!! I have told dozens of people about this coffee maker already. My coffee makers "take a beating" because I drink ALOT of coffee every day! I also bought the extended warranty because I will continue to use it so much!!! Believe the ratings!! This is WELL WORTH the selling price!

This is my second machine... I was short on space and decided I preferred espresso so I gave my Melitta Mill & Brew to my daughter, but after a few years I realize I miss having the smell of fresh coffee greet me in the morning. The one I gave to my daughter is still in use every day! I bought another one because this machine is so reliable. We did experience the catch on the mill lid breaking on the old one, but my daughter still uses the machine with a canister lid holding it down - she doesn't mind because she loves this coffeemaker, too! Hopefully that little bug has been worked out, but if I can go four years on this one before it breaks I'll be happy enough. That was the reason I didn't give it five stars all the way down.

I am pleased with coffee maker thus far, but when you have a busy lifestyle, the effort in taking the time to empty coffee grounds and cleaning filter can be a pain. I would advise anyone who doesn't have the patience to do this after using grinder not to purchase this item.

I bought this product because cuisinart was not available and this is a superior product! MUCH easier to clean as the mill is also the filter and the coffee does not have to move from mill to brew section.Only compliant as with the other brand is you add 6 cups of water to get decent strength of coffee. Highly recommend!

Very nice to wake to fresh ground and brewed coffee. Melitta makes a much better coffeeemaker than the more expensive competitors such as Cuisinart. No more messy grinds on the counter, either. Too soon to give an accurate rating on durability.

i am so glad i got this automatic brewer instead of the cuisinart. i esp love the programming feature where it automatically grinds and brews the coffee at the time you program it. the only drawback, i think, is that the automatic shut off goes off after only an hour. if there were a way to at least add on 30 minutes, that would be great.

I was incredibly impressed with this coffee maker. For the last 6 years have been using a more expensive competitive grind and brew machine, whose grinding gear broke just after the machine went out of warranty both times I owned one. .....The Melitta was much easier to use (modular design, fewer steps, no arcane settings), easier to keep clean (the design allows the entire grinding and brewing mechanism to detach quickly, making cleaning a breeze). .....And best of all, it makes a great cup of coffee, with adjustable grinding time and large bean basket, which allow tweeking coffee strength and bitterness to taste. I can consistently make the perfect carafe of coffee every day. .....The only down side I've observed is that the machine turns itself off after one hour, forcing the user to manually turn the machine back on to keep the coffee hot. .....I don't take the time to write reviews, but this product was so impressive that the time investment was worth it.

i love the new coffee machine, however I have not been able to use the programable time feature for timed brewing. Have attempted to program at least 10 times with no success. Perhaps the instructions are not detailed or the feature just does not work. this is the only negative regarding this product.

I am so happy with this coffee maker. I've had 2 other grind and brew coffee makers, and paid a lot more for them. They were noisy, and the parts turned bad after just a few months. I used to have coffee grounds all over the place at least twice a week. The Melitta is so easy to use, so easy to clean, and makes wonderful coffee. I use this product at least once a day, and it works like a charm, and is really quiet while grinding. Love it!

Finally, I am able to enjoy a decent pot of coffee!!! We got a new grind and brew mr. coffee for christmas and it STINKS on ice! It was so bad it didn't even wet all the grounds, we sent it back after 3 different machines were sent to us and tried out we gave up. The weakest coffee ever! HOWEVER, this Melitta pot is fantastic. I can choose how strong I want my coffee!!!! I love that. I like strong, good coffee. It is much quieter than the other. Very simple to work the machine and clean up is NOT as bad as some of the reviews mentioned. I really am so pleased with this. The quality is excellent. I highly recommend it to any coffee lover out there looking to invest in a grind and brew machine. The one down side (and I can live with this) is that it is only 10 cup capacity not 12..... I couldn't be happier!!!!! Thanks to all the reviews! This is how I untimately made my decision!
