recently purchased the sun sail for a cottage on a lake in northern
michigan. We get full sun on our front porch all day. I am amazed at
the difference this shade has made. It really is alot cooler on the
porch now and we can even sit under it in lawn chairs. Plus it even
looks cool from the lake.
One rater stated that the size was 4 1/2 feet each side so,,,,when we opened ours today we were delighted that it is an equilateral triangle with all three sides of equal length . Each side is 11 ft.10 in. Making this a huge amount of shade. One corner of our house is extremely warm in the afternoon, during the summer months. This is the perfect solution.
Very good quality with all parts included.
I ordered this item to have a cool shade for my car, but it is smaller that I thought it was. The dimensions are not so clear in the description. It says 11Ft (traingle) and really it is a 4 1/2' x 4 1/2' x 4 1/2'. I needed 10x10x10...
I purchased two Triangel Sails and I am amazed at how well they work and have solved our sun problem. They are well made. Come with all items needed to install (had to purchase some chain to reach the trees). Easy installation. I am so happy with this produce I am ordering another for our home in Florida.
Love it! While it stretches a little during a rain, it dries well and quickly shrinks back up to it's regular size! Only had it up for a couple of months, but makes sitting outside very comfortable, and nicely diffuses the sun, but allows the breeze which allows us to sit outside during the middle of the day and enjoy the outdoors! Great buy!
Bought this to shade part of the yard for my small dogs - works great, looks great but had to replace the hardware in our heavy winds - have owned it for two years and it's still looking good in our AZ sun.
My wife has lupus and for the first time in a three year she was able to enjoy the pool in a bright sunny day for a longer time! It is stronger than I thought! A storm hit overnight with microburst an gusts of over 45 miles an hour. I woke up ready to order a new one. There was furniture and debris every where but the sail was still there. It did not fade with the sun.
I have purchased several medium and small shades to put over the pool & chairs for shade and atmosphere. They keep things cool and don't have to be removed it a storm they have been thru several, the wind goes right thru. I have one of the few refreshing pools that don't have a chiller.
Hello I wanted to know if the shade could be left up during the winter. I want to get it for shade but would also like it to lessen the rain and snow over the patio. I am hoping it can and just angle one side down when I install it. I appreciate your help.clawsfamily on Feb 5, 2014Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
No snow and rain where I live, but I think you will shorten the life of the shade if you leave it out in inclement weather.suspence on Feb 6, 2014
Leave it up. The only problem you will face with this is the lines eventually will break. They should design a ratchet system with this. Ours lasted long enough to get a patio cover. It should be fine in the rain, just bump off the snow or your fascia will suffer. You should also install this with one corner lower anyway as recommended and for wind. Don't get white, it looks like a flying diaper. Good Luck!cantouchthis on Feb 18, 2014
I have had 3 silver medium triangle sun shades for 5 years and have loved them! They work very, very well. I take 2 of them down each winter, but 1 of them had to stay up above my deck wooden slat roof for shade. I saw yesterday 2 of the 3 sides tape and stitching have ripped from the wind, and it is a mess. HOW CAN I BUY 1 MEDIUM SILVER TRIANGLE to match my existing? I only need 1, PLEASE!!!!!! Help!!! ;o(silverchix on Sep 7, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question

The Triangle Sail Sun Shade came with the house we purchased. I was looking for directions on how these shades should be installed. I just don't know if they were installed right. In particular I'm looking to see how much tension do you use when installing them and what size wood post should be used to anchor the sails?schreinj on Jun 10, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
We installed it a bit slanted for the rain/leaves to fall. In more than one year and living in South Florida, we have not needed to pressure clean it. We took it down during some hurricane threat but it was very secured to wall and to tree.miamigal1 on Jun 10, 2013

will secure with a rod in the ground, with the stays that are included., and then another to the house., as a wind guard, as not to make it too tight, but with a gentle slope., that suits my area., perfectlysimbakitty7 on Jul 29, 2013

We live in Nv and have strong winds what is the highest winds this and the others can withstand before it starts to fraytetek on May 21, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Unfortunately we do not have the exact measurement of MPH that the shade can withstand before beginning to fray, but the item should hold up fine in the strong winds in NV. overstockcustomercare1 on May 23, 2012
