    The perfect accessory for backyard picnics on hot summer days, this Sail Sun Shade boasts breathable fabric construction for significant temperature reduction to create your own shady oasis. It's easy to install and cleans off with the hose for the utmost in convenience.
    • Suitable for covering patios to protect your patio furniture, courtyards, playgrounds, and parking lots
    • Blocks up to 90-percent of UV rays
    • Breathable fabric results in significant temperature reduction underneath the sail
    • Made from UV stabilized extra heavy fabric
    • Installation hardware includes:
      4 x 10 ft. strands of nylon rope (1 per corner)
      8 x 3/16" Wire rope clips which create a loop at both ends of the Nylon Rope
      4 x 5/16" recessed wood anchors with
      4 x 5/16" Screw Eye loops which screw into wood anchors and provide loops for Nylon rope
      8 x 5/16" Nuts and Washers
      4 x 1/4" Turnbuckles (1 per corner) to allow for adjustments to tension after hanging
    • Nylon ropes may be looped around anchor points such as metal poles or concrete pillars directly or used with screw eye loops and wood anchors for wooden anchor points such as trees or wooden posts (POSTS NOT INCLUDED).
    • A drill with boring bit in a slightly smaller diameter than the anchor itself will be required to create a pilot hole for the wood anchors
    • Simply hose clean
    • Measures 11 feet 10 inches square
    • Available in beige, yellow with red thread, silver, black with silver, hunter green with black threads, and a pure white which may reflect warmer tones indoors, but will appear brilliant white under natural sunlight

    • Gorgeous shade

      This canopy is stunning in appearance and construction. It is clean and architectural in feeling. The picture does not do it justice. To boot, the beige is exactly the same shade as our stucco house. The only regret is that Overstock doesn't seem to have the larger, 17' x 17' size! carmen

    • Shade FINALLY!

      We have open space around our house and I put this off the kitchen door so we can finally use the patio! Plus it helps to keep the kitchen cooler. My husband wants one now to put outside the garage so he can work out there in comfort. I use to sew this type of fabric and the quality is excellent. I see using this for many years.

      Great deal for the price. I purchased several of these for bleacher shades for a baseball field. They look expensive and have great construction. Heavy duty shades that stand up to the sun and the wind. Seams are heavy stitched with a heavy corner ring for attaching. Supplied ties are nylon rope with turnbuckles. They are sufficient but I purchased wire rope for my use instead. This shade as well as the triangle shade has the look of a custom shade without the custom price that would be 10x as much. This shade is very versatile as well and can be used throughout the year.

      Top notch Quality. I work on sailboats and know what to look for in fabric construction. This is a very good prouduct that is built to last. The hardware on it is also of heavy quality. It has a nice conture--great lines. Not just a square tarp. I found this same shade sold by other retailers and overstock beat them by almost half price.

      I bought the square sail sun shade and I just love it. I think the material is very durable. It took us about an afternoon to hook it up, but it really gave us the shade I was hoping for. I bought the yellow one and was a little concerned that it might be too bright, but no! it really is perfect. I very much recommend this sun shade.

    • Perfect for my needs

      I purchased this sail shade to cover a small deck/balcony off the master bedroom. Between the hot summer sun and a "dirty" tree, I was unable to enjoy the balcony last year. The sail shade took care of both problems. Now I can enjoy the balcony without being pelleted by berries or scorched by the sun. I did take the sail down for the winter, which is very easy to do.

    • Good buy.

      I purchased 2 of these to hang vertically from my covered porch instead of using them as a sail. They keep the sun out while allowing the breeze to blow through. We have up to 60 mile an hour winds and they hold up with no problems. The material is very durable and can withstand my knawing dogs and don't snag or rip. I assumed they would be square in shape, but the picture clearly shows that each side bows in, but that doesn't reduce it's quality. It does make it smaller in size regarding the main area of the sail though.
