Medium Cherry Hutch Buffet with Wood Top

This is a decent, inexpensive piece of furniture. Having spent last night and this morning assembling it, I am happy with it. I will need to make a few tweaks but I do indeed have a medium-sized hutch in my dining room now. The packaging is okay. There is a lot of styrofoam and fiberglass and I will need to vacuum once I get a chance. There was some damage to a few different pieces but fortunately it is all in places that cannot be seen on the front of the finished product. The instructions are a little daunting, but the pictures are very accurate. There are technically only five steps for the buffet and the hutch each, but there is quick progression from "put these two pieces together" to "okay take these twelve pieces and assemble everything else in one step". You have to decipher the pictures carefully to make sure you don't miss a piece. For example, while assembling the drawers of the buffet, I referred to the picture in the directions for the first two. Feeling confident and tired, I quickly assembled the third drawer from memory, but it did not fit correctly. A quick reference to the picture in the instructions showed exactly what I had done wrong. I bought this specific one because it had a lighter mahogany color in the picture but it truly is a darker cherry-color. I'm not terribly concerned - that's what I get for buying something off the internet - but some may like to know that. I have a few issues with how some pieces match up. I had to jam the wine rack into place and I am not sure if I will easily be able to remove it if we decide we need more storage space. One of the cabinet doors does not stay closed - when mounted on the hinges, the magnets do not align. I think I can fix this easily but it is still a nuisance. The cabinets and drawers don't feel like they align perfectly on the front but I think I will stop noticing this over time. One note, the drawers are VERY small and do not come out all the way. We will need to buy some new drawer organizers that will fit these. The shelf heights are adjustable but the pins barely fit into the notches. I had to hammer a few in. Guess we won't be changing those. Overall, for the $$$I paid for the cabinet, it is worth the money. It is cheaper than any other wooden buffet/hutch that we saw in two weeks of furniture shopping and it does what we need it to do. And yes, it does indeed appear to be of solid wood construction. It's not perfect, but you get what you pay for. I am happy with it.
