Detail, weight and craftsmanship are REALLY great on this sword. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very substantial piece, given as a present, that is still being talked about. The only suggestion I would have is that the shipper use sturdier packaging. The sword arrived in a package that looked like it came directly from Charlemagne's last campaign.

This sword was purchased as a gift for my nephew. It is heavy and attractive, just as pictured and described. Perfect for guys who like swords and imagining themselves as knights. As always with Overstock purchases, it arrived quickly.

...The scabbard looks kind of "cheap" but the sword itself is excellent. As for shipping: BE HOME for the delivery if this is a gift because the box really does come to you MAULED and your surprise won't be kept safe!
