instructions were great. detailed. easy to put together. the door however needed 2 sets of hands to position it and to put the screws. heavier than we thought and the shelves were black instead of the brownish tint of the outside

Very pleased. Was looking for a end table for my bed and this will hold lotions, jewelry box, books, magazines and clock and more! Perfect. Also it came packed very well outside bubble wrap for protection, box was not dented or broken.

Great shelving at a wonderful price. Heavy pieces but once laid out, fairly easy to assemble. Bottom shelf is NOT marked so look closely at each shelf BEFORE assembling as bottom shelf has small screw holes in each side piece where leg/wheels fit in. I assembled upside down but requires two people to tip and then lift to upright. Might want to "air out" shelves in a garage or outside for a few hours or a day before putting in house as they do have a chemical smell.

First off let me say I like the piece and it works well in space. It may have been my error but I thought item was going to be the color pictured in the photograph, it wasn't. It's more of a walnut color and I was looking for epresso. But, outside of that I really I like it. It's not as big as I thought but I should have paid more attention to the measurements. But its well made and it appears to be sturdy, I have a small office formerly a bedroom so it goes well and doesn't dominate the area. I actually thought of purchasing the smaller piece that goes with for a printer stand but the colors really don't fit well with my area. I think the clear planes add character. It would work well as a dresser for maybe smaller items maybe for kids or underwear.

I saw a similar shelf on another site but the cost was at least double what was listed on Overstock! Of course I bought it from here and it came shipped on time and wrapped so well, it was bubble wrapped outside the actual box. It was great and the assembly seemed easy enough for my friend to do as I can't assemble anything but all the parts were there and now that it's been put together and up for a while, I'm really glad I went with this bookcase and displace cabinet, it is perfect. I'd recommend! It's solid and looks great.

This IS a nice shoe rack (though I use mine as shelving for extra clothing), and does have a nice look to it. Assembly was very straightforward - just 16 screws (included) and the pilot holes all lined up on my item. You will just need a phillips head screwdriver (not included).Note the screw heads are exposed on the outside. They are recessed, but still exposed. I think for the money, I was just expecting a notch up in quality. The shoe rack is still pretty light weight and a bit wobbly, which is ok (it still functions just fine) - I was just imagining something a little heaver and more substantial for the price. It definitely looks better than those fake particle board veneered shelves you get at big box stores. I just think it is overpriced for what it is. I like it, but I wouldn't pay the same price for another one. I have other similar all-wood items from overstock that were less expensive than this.

I received this unit a week and a half ago, put it together in 10 minutes and within minutes of putting it in its place, had to put it outside. It smelled so bad. I was nervous to keep it inside. It has been outside since. I am hoping that the smells dissapate the longer I have it out there. I am looking forward to having it inside as it looks perfect. Too bad for the delay.

It looks great on the picture and its dimensions were just what I need. So I ordered it. It is of very good quality. I am assembling it alone (I am pretty handy, but I am a woman, so I go according the manual) I got stuck with assembling drawer sliders to the sides of the bookcase. If I put them according to the picture, they will slide inside the bookcase, not outside.... Common sense tells me to put them another way. But the picture is clear showing visa versa. Or the picture is misleading, or I am not into it. Customer service gave me a name of a manufacture, which is in ********. Now I am waiting for their answer. In general, I like the product very much.

After my husband assembled it, we moved it to the garage because of the odor! While it was out there, it was covered with flies! Thankfully, after washing it with water and baking soda, the smell faded. We brought it in the house, and now we love it. It had some damage to it, right on the front top, but we needed to use it and didn't have time to box it up and ship it back, so we just shrugged our shoulders, and said, OH WELL. Sometimes damage happens, and that's the way it is. If you buy this, I would suggest you open the box outside, or in a separate place, OTHER than your home, and leave it a couple of days. Then wash it first or sprinkle baking soda on it, AND THEN put it in your room. I've never smelled that odor before, but it was HORRENDOUS!!! If I can post a picture of the damage on here, I will.
