  I ordered this as a gift for my wife. We had looked at a lot of different lumber yard stores. We could not find the color (black) in any of the stores we checked. We also thought that they were a little high in price in the retail stores. Overstock.com had what we wanted for a substantial savings and we took advantage of a free shipping offer. I had a little trouble putting it together, but that was my fault for not reading the instructions accurately. This shelf looks good in the corner of our dining room!

  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. This compared equally to the other shelfs that we had looked at.

  Broken and a miserable experience

  Miserable experience. This was part of an organizational project I started the beginning of january. The product came broken twice! Now I do not have the piece and I have to drive this huge thing back to ups to get a refund. For my trouble did I get a discount on a similar product or even a coupon from overstock-no just a waste of 6 weeks and nothing to show for it.

  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Very poor showed up broken and when I requested replacement parts they came broken too!

  This product is described as being one half the actual size. It is NOT 18" wide it is 36" wide when the two pieces are assembled as intended.

  This is a nice little bookcase that went together easily. It's solid and fairly well made, a couple of the decorative side slats where slightly warped otherwise I might consider 5 stars.

  I bought one of these Five-teir Antique Ladder Shelf and now that I have it; I am going to order another one tomorrow. I really like it. I hope the other one is match and is same antique black color and quality. I am sure it will be.
