meat grinder

There was not a brand name in the item description. However in the Q&A section your site said the brand was "Kitchener". It is not Kitchener brand.. For $12 more I could have gotten a Kitchener. Time will tell .

For the money yea .. its good
 from missouri,  Jan 28, 2013

Bought this to use for deer meat, i only had a small amount left this year. Got the grinder after the season, but it ground all of it in no time. It also came with a suffer tube. for the ***, i am pleased

  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. would be nice if there was a bushing on the end of the worm, where it contacts the grinder body. i expect it will wear , but we'll see.

Ready to grind up a hog!
from Pensacola, FL,  Jan 25, 2013

I read some negative reviews regarding the pulley not fitting onto the shaft. The grinder body and auger are hot dipped in molten tin. This layer of tin, along with the red paint in the inside of the pulley hub, did prevent the pulley from slipping onto the shaft. No big deal. I used a file to remove most of the tin, then sanded with a strip of sand paper. I used a rat tail file to clean up the inside of the pulley hub. Then it went together easily. The auger turns on a ball bearing, which makes for smooth operation. The pulley doesn't wobble a bit. I'm impressed with the quality of this Chinese made grinder. Can't wait to get the motor hooked up and grind some sausage. I have a 1725 RPM motor that I'm going to run through a 4-step cone pulley, then to the grinder. That should get the speed down to where it's not shooting out meat like a fire hydrant.
