I want to start out sharing that this air conditioner is nice, but, it is very loud. I was worried that it would not cool the place enough, but it did. I have a 340sq ft stuido and I like my place really cold and it was cold just as I like it. Also, if you put it on energy saver you will save money and have a cold apartment. In short, this was a good buy, the sound of the AC is loud, but turn your t.v. up and you will be ok!
It was exactly what I was looking for, small & quite for vacation home. Our windows are so narrow that we needed to remove the side panels and that was easy to do.
I have a couple of the 18k units in a common hall, but bought this one for the living room. Size is perfect for a medium size room. The smaller sizes are only good for bedrooms.
This air conditioner sounds like a freight train engine - it sounds like it is working extra hard for nothing.
