very happy with this. The unit was easy to install and delivered right to my front door! No messing around with getting this in a cart, then my trunk etc.

We received our AC unit in a very timely manner, and it works great. No complaints.

Really not sure how to compare to similarly priced ACs. It cools my room adequately but I don't have to turn it down because it gets too cool, and don't believe the hype....it IS noisy.

Once i received it i plugged it in i'm blown away by the performance of the maytag window air condition i like it very much the noise is a bit annoying but i still would recommend this to anybody to buy.

I needed a small air conditioner for my bedroom. The price was great and Maytag usually makes a quality product. The only thing that concerned me was the number of reviews that said this unit was very noisy and loud. Well The unit I got is whisper quiet. If you are not standing within a few feet of it you won't even hear it at all. I was so pleased with this unit that I just ordered another one for the living room.

I'm not sure what people are talking about because I sleep 10 feet away from this and I don't find it very loud at all, and I'm young with excellent hearing. This unit is very convenient with the timer and various settings and is very easy to use.

I purchased two (2) of these units for a piece of rental property. My thinking was that these air conditioners are small enough to place in different locations so that my tenants could enjoy a variety of temperatures thoughout the house. This works fine, but we have found that although these are lower BTU units, one air conditioner is actually sufficient to cool the entire home, approximately 1000 sq feet. Easy to install.

This a/c works well at cooling down my room but it is VERY loud. I would not recommend putting this in a bedroom or any place where you'd prefer quiet. I think for the price, you could find something that works just as well but is a lot quieter.
