Gorgeious lamp!
I ordered this lamp and to be honest, was a little nervous about it. I wasn't sure about the "silver metallic shade", so I only ordered one, just in case I didn't like it. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The shade has a bit of a metallic sheen to it, but I would not call metallic at all. I was also a bit surprised to find out that the lamp body is not acually metal...it's a metal colored resin (or something similar). That did not bother me though because I loved the look of it anyway. I promptly ordered a second one so that I'd have a matching pair and we are really happy with these lamps. We've gotten many compliments from our friends and family on them and you can't beat the price!

- How accurate was the on site description of the product? The lamp is not metal, which was a bit miseading. It's actually silver colored resin or something similar, but I have no complaints with how it looks.

Mayfield 30-inch Lamp
I purchased two of these lamps for our master bedroom and am very satisfied with the style, size and product quality. The only thing was not satisfied with was the quality of the lamp shades. The fabric used is poorly attached and you can actually see the crudely cut seams when the lamps are lit. Luckily I was able to turn the worst side to the wall and will eventually replace the shades with something of higher quality. The actual lamps are great and exactly the touch of contemporary and a little bit of a masculine feel that my husband wanted to add to our bedroom. Overall I am very happy with this purchase, plus the shipping was crazy fast!

Looks great!
This lamp looks great and is very sturdy. I wasn't expecting it to be quite so heavy and solid. The only negative was the way the cord for the plug has to be pulled through the lamp itself. It was a little strange but once you figure it out and get the cord taken care of, you don't have to deal with it again. Great style and a great price!
