The label states that these have 95% duck feather, 5% duck down. They are still fairly soft, but heavier that you would expect with down. I like the size and they can be shaped pretty easily. Like the quality of the material and the removable zippered cover that can be machine washed. That alone makes them a better buy than the average pillow.

I looked through hundreds of pillows on-line to find pillows for our two leather couches. I was being rather picky as I am practical and wanted pillow covers that could zip off and that I could wash in the machine (I haven't tried it yet, but it indicated that I could do that), as well as pillows that could actually be used as pillows, not just "pretty pillows" for looks! Ours get used all the time for a quick nap, etc. these really fit for the purpose I was looking for. I also like that they are feather pillows (down). (I saw many other "fruffy" pillows that I liked but they just weren't practical for real USEAGE).
