My mattress was eleven years old and becoming very uncomfortable. Found this at Overstock and it had good reviews and the price was great. Have had it a couple of months now and have not slept this good in a long time.

The first 2 or 3 nights the bed felt very firm---however, after a few nights it has settled into a very comfortable bed. We are very happy with the mattress! We use it on a platform, and wish we could turn it over, but most mattresses cannot be turned now, so will see how it does. We buy a new mattress about every 2 years (My husband has 6 compression fractures in his back) to make certain the bed is always 'just right' for him. We don't like to spend too much money for a mattress we are going to change frequently and this one is just right price and comfort wise. Also, it is hard to beat Overstock for good service. We are happy.

I'm in love with this mattress. It is supportive and comfortable. I had a ten-year old memory foam mattress which was pretty good, but I didn't realize how much room for improvement there was until I slept on this mattress. I just love it and I swear I'm sleeping better. It is a few inches thicker than my old mattress so all my quilts and blankets have "shrunk"! I got the medium and it's pretty darn perfect. Highly recommend. I make all my friends lie down on it when they come over. Everyone says "wow!".

This is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, I was worried about buying with out trying but this is far far better than I ever hoped for.

As with most people I was reticent to order a new bed online. My husband and I have been sleeping on a water bed for 35 years. We recently moved into a seasonal cottage where a waterbed was not possible. We did, however, take the pedestal, which has drawers in it. It proved to be perfect for this gel memory foam mattress. This bed is very, very comfortable. We are happy to have taken the leap of faith and ordered online. It arrived when they said it would. It took only minutes to become its final size. There was very little odor which left within a two days. I would recommend this mattress to any and all who like a soft bed.

Great mattress (we got the king), good sleep on it so far. Initially we thought it was going to be too soft since we were looking for something a little firmer but its working out and hubby and I have been getting a good night's sleep. I am a stomach sleeper, hubby a side and it seems to be working for both of us. Also, I don't feel him moving around as much as with our prior mattress (usual pillow top, non-flip spring mattress). It showed up in a big box (150 pounds as per the FedEx slip), we let it air out like they suggested and then moved it to our bedroom and it fit perfectly on our already existing king box spring which was very nice. It comes with a zip on-zip off cover for washing which is very nice. However, I don't understand why they don't put handles on the covers or the actual mattresses since they aren't light nor easy to work with when you have to move them, rotate or flip. That's more of an overall mattress company request (for all brands) and not specific to this particular mattress company.

I love love love this mattress, can't say enough good things about it. Was worried about smell when opened but was gone by the first few days. Very comfy, as Goldilocks would say- its just right!

This is our second latex bed. It is very comfortable and very well made. I read other reviews and ordered soft since we do not like firm beds. The mattress is actually medium and feels great. It came vacuum packed and rolled up. When we opened the package, it filled with air as expected. It did not have any smell. We left it for 24 before we slept on it. The first night was not too comfortable; like any new bed. The second night on - it is soooo comfortable, we sleep very well. We are VERY happy with this purchase.

We have been using this mattress for about two years now and I waited this long to give it a review, simply because we have tested this enough and many of our family members have tried it. We needed something that is medium firm for our guest room. However, we ended up using it on certain occasions and it is by far one of the most comfortable mattresses we have ever used. When we got it, it was packed in an unmarked box but very tightly packed inside a plastic wrap. I opened it and it started expanding right away. AS far as the memory foam smell goes, the smell was there for about a day and it was fine after that. So far, my son, some of my in-laws, and my parents used this mattress and they all loved it as they got very peaceful sleep. I needed to update our spring mattress recently and after using this queen size mattress for two years, I got a full size and a king size mattress of the same kind from Overstock. I definitely recommend this mattress to anyone who is looking for a comfortable and peaceful sleep without spending too much on Temperpedic and others that are out there!

The mattress is nice but, the base is a mess. It comes in a very heavy bow and I can not find any instructions. There may be some inside but I haven't taken all the pieces out because I'm not sure I will need it. I have a bed coming today and I plan to as the delivery men if they can figure it out. If the instructions were at the top of the box I could read them without taking all the heavy pieces out. If the delivery guys say I need it assembled I will need to spend more money and hire a handyman to put it together for me. If I had it to over, I would have just bought the mattress from the store where I bought the bed. This is way too much drama not to mention more money spent than necessary! :-( Buying something online that is NOT returnable is NEVER a good idea... And this lesson has cost me a thousand dollars to purchase a simple mattress..... UGH!

We got this mattress 3 months ago. I wanted to sleep on it for awhile before I wrote a review. So now...... I LOVE THIS MATTRESS. My husband and I built a platform bed and the mattress is not on springs. We are both larger people and suffer low back pain. I can honestly say my back pain is gone! The foam is somewhat firm but not excessive. It supports just right. I am a slide sleeper and my husband is a back sleeper and we are both very comfortable. Also the mattress does not shift and shake when one of us turns or gets up in the middle of the night. I also notice that my husband does not snore as much in this bed. Although I am not sure that the mattress is the reason. The only slight downside is that the mattress holds onto the sheet and makes sliding or shifting slightly difficult. I put a mattress pad on and now do not have any problem. I would really recommend this mattress. One other thing. The UPS driver delivered my mattress to the wrong address. I called customer service and had my mattress within an hour. The customer service was FANTASTIC!

My only negative on this is it claims you don't need a box spring. I def need a box spring as there is too much space between the mattress and the bottom of the headboard Comfort A+

After reading all of the reviews, I felt confident ordering this mattress for my husband and I. We loved our current memory foam mattress topper and were ready to upgrade to a king-size bed. Getting it out of the box and set up was very easy. This bed is very firm and neither of us like sleeping on it. It is not like a traditional memory foam mattress and if we could return it, we definitely would. Do not purchase this unless you are looking for something very firm to sleep on. We can't wait to get some thing else and start sleeping better again soon.

We purchased this mattress to go on our cal. king waterbed frame with no box-spring. It came double-wrapped in heavy plastic and it was very heavy, we basically drug it into our side door and guided it down the steps to our bedroom downstairs. There, we cut the outer plastic and then unrolled the mattress. Once that was done, we cut the inner plastic and it started raising very quickly. Within a couple of hours it was the full 14". There was no odor like some other memory foam mattresses have. Our previous mattress was an 8" pure memory foam mattress. It was comfortable at first, but it did sleep hot and in the morning after sleeping on it all night long, I could definitely tell that I was bottoming out in certain places, sinking in too much. While the pure memory foam mattress was comfortable, it probably wasn't the greatest for my back, and I did toss and turn quite a bit. After reading reviews of hybrid mattresses online, I knew I wanted to get one. This mattress does not disappoint. The extremely plush quilted top prevents any hot sleeping issues, and my wife and I no longer have that sinking feeling like on our old mattress. This one feels soft and supportive at the same time. It almost feels like you are being pushed upwards in total comfort rather than sinking down deeper into the mattress. We also purchased an Exceptional Sheets brand Extra Plush Bamboo Fitted Mattress Topper and some bamboo sheets and overall, this is the greatest bed we have ever had. My wife and I are back/side sleepers and it is comfortable in either position.

We got the Priage mattress quicker than expected. It was splitting the seams of the box it came in and the poor delivery man struggled to get it up our driveway (we have a decent incline). Hubby, driver and myself pulled this behemoth inside and it split the box during this part. The mattress was securely wrapped in plastic and a shipping cloth, so all good. We pushed it up on the bed frame (platform bed) and cut loose the exterior wrappings. It took about 48 hours, as noted in the shipping paperwork, to expand and I did jump/bounce on it a few times to help push out the creases. Overall, the material is nice, it expanded to the height as described. It's a tad bit firm for me (side sleeper, but I'll get used to it) but just the right firmness for my hubby. The pups loved it on their first try and the symphony of snores proved our hunch correct to try to buy a mattress from Overstock. We weren't opposed to doing mail order (formerly from New York) after getting prices locally on similar mattresses (ouch, the retail stores here are really high!). Great deal!

I'm 5' 11" and 230lbs. My wife is 5' 6" and about 120lbs. We bought the FIRM mattress, and it did indeed come in a big black bag that I dragged up the stairs (she offered to push from below, but I was afraid if I slipped she would be crushed!). Once I cut the black bag off (I suggest doing this near the bed), I rolled the mattress on top of the existing box springs AND mattress (my wife was convinced it wouldn't be tall enough, so I humored her). When I cut the plastic wrap around the mattress, it immediately expanded to at least 12-13 inches (tool tall for her to get on without jumping onto the bed). We allowed it to inflate all day and removed our old mattress, keeping the box springs. I must say the firmness was just what I was hoping for, since for over a year we had been sleeping on an old mattress (20 years) and a 5" mattress pad that was way too soft. We have now been on the new mattress for about 10 days, and I can honestly say it is extremely comfortable. Firm, but not a piece of plywood. No issues with it being too hot, and despite my size, I don't sink into it. My wife had been having trouble sleeping on our old setup, and she has slept great on the new one. Maybe I'll come back in a year and update this review, but for now we are completely satisfied. We had gone to one of those mattress stores and found a memory foam adjustable mattress for 14x what this mattress cost. We definitely recommend this mattress, and we aren't skeptics anymore.

Similar in size to a standard king bed, a California king bed is four inches longer, allowing a lot of extra room top to bottom. A California king bed measures 72 inches wide and 84 inches long, and a standard king mattress measures 76 inches wide and 80 inches long, so while a California king mattress is four inches longer, it is also about four inches thinner than a standard king bed. Making a decision between the two might be difficult. Ultimately, both are great options, but there are a few conditions that might make a California king size bed the clear choice. Before you pick which king mattress is right for you, here are a few of the best reasons to choose a California king bed.
Relatively speaking, California king beds did not hit the mattress scene until late in the game. In the 1960s, these gigantic beds were typically reserved for stars and athletes, but they have become a staple for tall sleepers and large bedrooms that need furniture to balance the space. The mattress is one of the most important pieces of furniture inside the house. It is the place where you will spend over a third of your life. You don't want a good mattress just for the sake of comfort, though; if you choose the right mattress, it can also eliminate health problems. Back pain, neck pain and fatigue can all result from a bad mattress. Knowing what to look for in a mattress may just save you from pain and chronic tiredness. Take a look below for some tips on buying a mattress.

The moving process will be slightly different whether you have platform beds, storage beds, a canopy bed, sleigh bed or another model of king-size bed, but there are a few things you can do to make moving king beds a bit easier. You spend a third of your life sleeping on a mattress, so choosing between different mattress sets is an important decision. Mattress set options have exploded in variety in the last decade with advances in both foam-mattress and innerspring-mattress technology, and you're more likely than ever before to find the perfect mattress set. However, if all the options make choosing a new mattress set seem confusing, you can make the process quick and easy by doing a little research about mattresses. Keep reading for answers to some common questions about mattress sets.
A mattress is one of the most important purchases you can make because you spend hours each day sleeping and rejuvenating for the next day. While shopping for a new mattress, keep in mind the typical sleeping positions you have to ensure you will find the right mattress to help with bone or joint alignment. Below, you'll learn the best mattresses for every sleeping position. Sleeping on your back: If you primarily sleep on your back, you need to find a mattress with support to prevent pain in the lower back. Sleeping on a mattress that does not have enough support causes muscle strain in the back and increases the chance you will assume a poor posture during sleep, leaving you achy in the morning. The best mattresses for this sleeping position have at least 400 to 800 14-gauge coils. Innerspring mattresses feature firm coils to support the back yet still mold to the curvature of the spine. Mattresses with box springs are ideal for those who sleep on their backs because they stabilize weight, offering back support and increasing the life of the bedding. Sleeping on your stomach: While sleeping on your stomach is comfortable, it also increases pressure and strain on parts of the body like the neck or back. Soft mattresses are the best for those who sleep on their stomachs. Look for mattresses that have 300 to 400 14-gauge coils, which will ensure the mattress is soft and comfortable. If you must use a pillow, look into buying a memory foam style, which molds to the head and neck to stabilize them during sleep. Sleeping on your side: Side sleeping is one of the most common positions on a mattress, and it may also be one of the hardest positions to shop for. Since you lay on your side, there is pressure on the shoulders and hips, which could make a firm mattress uncomfortable for sleeping. A mattress that is too soft is often not supportive enough to keep the spine in proper alignment. The ideal mattress for this position is one that has supportive coils, with a memory foam topper to provide comfort to the joints of the body.
