My husband is working out of town for the next year and we wanted a comfortable mattress without spending a fortune. I purchased this based on the high reviews. First the pros: the mattress arrived promptly, seems to be very well made, and is comfortable. While I might not want to purchase this for a bed that I will be sleeping in every night for the next 10 years, it is good for a guest bedroom or temporary use. The cons: we ordered a king size mattress and something just seems to be off in the dimensions. It over hangs the sides of our box springs and is too short in the length. It is almost as if the box springs are a California King size. I might believe that to be true, but the quilt, which I KNOW is a king size also is off, being too short on the sides and too long on the length. The sheets also fit a little strangely. We are living with it because we are using the mattress as a temporary fix, but this would really bug me if it were a permanent mattress. Also, after two months, I can still smell the chemical scent. The weird dimensions and the lingering smell kept me from giving this four or five stars.

Really like the mattress. It is firm. Purchased 2. First one bought several months ago and put in cal king waterbed frame. Fits great, but hubby wanted more cushy on top, so added a 3" topper. Liked 1st so much that bought another plus a topper for primary house. It's on a slat platform frame. At 14" of mattress plus topper, you need deep pocket fitted sheet. Sleep very well no matter which house we are at.

Still too new to review but it sleeps well. Says Serta, but it is actually made by another company for Serta. It is American made and seems to be the best bang for the buck.

My husband (6'1", 230 lb.) and I (5'5", 145 lb.) love this bed. We purchased a king to replace our California king that was sinking in and leaving us cranky and achy in the mornings. This bed took a few days to get used to. It's much firmer than I thought, but don't let that scare you. I've read some people buying extra toppers for this bed, but it doesn't need one. After getting used to the firmness (about two nights sleep), I started waking up feeling refreshed and without back aches. I'll update the review later if we notice any signs of the mattress sinking in, but for now, it's holding up nicely with my husband, me, and our three large-breed dogs who occasionally sneak onto the bed when we're fast asleep.

This was ordered to replace a California King water bed. My wife finally won out, a couple of leaks later. We first ordered, wrong mattress was shipped by the mfg. It was a King, not a CalKing. It is ordered as a 4 firmness level, did not offer a lower number, meaning softer. I was very favorably impressed with Overstock's customer service. Problem solved on first contact, first person, about 5-10 minutes. They expedited ordering the correct mattress, set up for overnight delivery, and knocked off 20% for the inconvenience. My wife loves this mattress, I'm OK with it. Would prefer it a little softer. Easy to set up, I was traveling when the second one came, a she and daughters set up

We purchased this mattress to go on our cal. king waterbed frame with no box-spring. It came double-wrapped in heavy plastic and it was very heavy, we basically drug it into our side door and guided it down the steps to our bedroom downstairs. There, we cut the outer plastic and then unrolled the mattress. Once that was done, we cut the inner plastic and it started raising very quickly. Within a couple of hours it was the full 14". There was no odor like some other memory foam mattresses have. Our previous mattress was an 8" pure memory foam mattress. It was comfortable at first, but it did sleep hot and in the morning after sleeping on it all night long, I could definitely tell that I was bottoming out in certain places, sinking in too much. While the pure memory foam mattress was comfortable, it probably wasn't the greatest for my back, and I did toss and turn quite a bit. After reading reviews of hybrid mattresses online, I knew I wanted to get one. This mattress does not disappoint. The extremely plush quilted top prevents any hot sleeping issues, and my wife and I no longer have that sinking feeling like on our old mattress. This one feels soft and supportive at the same time. It almost feels like you are being pushed upwards in total comfort rather than sinking down deeper into the mattress. We also purchased an Exceptional Sheets brand Extra Plush Bamboo Fitted Mattress Topper and some bamboo sheets and overall, this is the greatest bed we have ever had. My wife and I are back/side sleepers and it is comfortable in either position.

Purchased for our son's first apartment out of college. We have purchased several foam mattresses (full size, king and California king) from Overstock. All have been excellent performers in comfort and relative to the price. All of our mattresses have been quite firm for the first week (which is fine with me) but then soften a bit and are completely comfortable for everyone.

We had a queen sized pillow top that was fairly soft and switched to a very firm cal king mattress after my husband suffered a back injury. The firmer mattress helped him sleep more comfortably but a few months after surgery to fuse his lower back it was just to firm. Not wanting to go back to the queen sized bed we ordered this one. This is the best purchase we have ever made as far as a mattress goes. We have been sleeping on it for almost a month now and both of us are sleeping so much better. His back is not near as stiff in the morning when he wakes up and my hips do not bother me anymore. We absolutely love this mattress. We did have a slight chemical smell for the first couple of days but it was gone by the third night.

Great quality mattress for the price! Purchased to replace a waterbed mattress in a hard frame. Fit perfect with enough depth so you don't hit your legs on frame. A bit more firm than expected, but I am still getting used to it. Very comfortable. Would recommend.

I replaced a regular mattress that I had been sleeping on for 20 years. Thank goodness. So far after a couple of weeks this mattress is exactly what I was looking for. It is comfortable and meets my expectations. I am glad I spent a few more dollars to get the 14 inch and the top quality available on Overstock.

My wife instantly liked it, it took me three nights to get used to it. I did not know which firmness level to choose, after reading all of the reviews I found the answer. It is important to read the reviews because the mattress is non-returnable. I weigh 205 pounds @ 6.1 height, My wife weighs less @ 5.6 height. Medium firmness suites us well. 250 pounds and more I would recommend a firm mattress and for those at 160 pounds and less, get a soft mattress. A memory foam mattress is there to shape to your body and form fits your curves so that the proper support is provided all over your body, no matter which position you are sleeping in. I am happy with the purchase, the pricing is excellent for Cal King 14" mattress. There is no difference in temperature when sleeping, we use the same comforter and blankets.

This was a great purchase. The mattress is a little firm but very comfortable. This mattress is substantially cheaper than anything we looked at locally. I would not hesitate to purchase this again.

As stated in title, this is the 2nd memory foam mattress that I have owned from the Comfort Dreams company. 3 years ago I purchased the 11" Queen select a firmness memory foam mattress from them and loved it! Prior to that I owned a memory foam mattress from Costco that I also loved (moving states caused me to part with my first one). Anyways, I was moving in with my boyfriend a couple months ago and we (me!) wanted a new bed... It HAD to be memory foam, of course :) we looked at the reviews and decided to get the medium firmness as my boyfriend is a big (tall and muscular) guy. We did not want it to be too firm or too soft and after reading the reviews and ordering, were excited to receive our new mattress. Upon arrival, the box was big, awkward, and heavy (I knew this would be the case but my boyfriend did not - I was not there). He had his 15yo son help him carry it into the house/room and set it up on top of our old mattress. By the time I was home, 4hours later, we measured it and sure enough it was already expanded to it's 14" depth. The cal King size fit perfect onto the box spring from the previous mattress (not short or awkward shaped). We slept on it that night and have been sleeping on it now for over a month... We love it! Perfect firmness for us both in regards to firmness/softness. I have also noticed that it has decreased his snoring! Hooray! I know the quality of this product will last and that we have many great years of sleep ahead of us with this mattress! Also, the price is unbeatable for a cal king memory foam... Worth every penny!

My mattress was failing quickly; it was a pillow top California king. I was not able to sleep soundly and could feel pressure points. I decided to look into a memory foam mattress but was shocked by the price tag at local furniture stores. My fiance and I went to the furniture stores and tried out the memory foam mattress and knew that we had to have one. I went online and decided to look for a mattress that was medium in firmness but also thick. We agreed on this 14" Grande Hotel Trizone Memory Foam Mattress. The mattress arrived rolled up between the dates promised. We unwrapped it and it started to puff up. The mattress had a slight chemical smell (but no overwhelming). The mattress does come with a mattress cover (which I was unaware of but I added another one just in case). The mattress is perfect; not to hard, not to soft. It is comparable to the more expensive brands in the furniture stores. I have been sleeping perfectly since buying this mattress. If you are shopping around for a mattress buy this one!

The mattress comfortless feels alright -- up to my expectations, but what I don't understand is the size of it. I bought a king-size frame from Walmart and it simply does not fit. The mattress seems to be a complete square (I did not really measure) but it does not fit in the frame that we bought. I admit I did not investigate the size of the mattress or the frame before buying and I just assumed that "king" size was the same throughout product. (I know the difference between California King and King and that was not where the discrepancy occurred). I am not particularly sure where the problem lies now (maybe it was the Walmart frame that is faulty, but I did not see any reviewer commenting on "wrong size" for either product and both product appeared to have good reviews online), but I suggest other people to research the actual dimension before buying.

So my husband and I spent lots of $ on a name brand mattress over 10 years ago It was a pillow top and was supposed to be firm. It was never really firm and began to sag a few years back. I started researching for a new mattress and found this one on O and read all of the reviews and they sounded positive. On a whim, I ordered the mattress. In came in a relatively small box but once we opened it and let it expand, it was truly a Calif King size mattress. We've been sleeping on it for only a few nights now but I've noticed that I do not wake up with the usual back pain. I've also been sleeping through the night which I thought was due to insomnia but I wake up refreshed now. I think this was a good purchase but i'll update it anything changes.

I was a little apprehensive because this item is not returnable once it is open. I have tried out the uber-expensive name brand at the store in the mall. I thought if I didn't like it, I could gift it to my parents. It came and I thought no way will this get that big. It comes rolled up and looks like a sewer tube. Cut it open and set it out. Within an hour it was 8" high. I didn't notice any smell. The directions said 24-72 hours, it looked ready to go. We waited 24 hours anyway and it was 9". We both slept wonderfully. It is a firm mattress. If you are expecting something really soft, you might not like this one. Excellent value for the price!

excellent, no odor, self inflated in a matter of an hour or so. Well wrapped and we are very pleased. After sleeping on an air matress for 15 years, my bad back is finally getting some relief. Only problem is after purchase, they raised the price on it $$$+ dollars.
