Curtain Rod

ossc620069 from Alabama, Jan 22, 2010

We were well please with the quality of the rod. It came with a center support bracket, which was needed for the length. The rods we checked on at the local business did not have a center support. Installation was easy and simple. We also purchased the drapes with the rod. We received the order in a few days, right on time.

The rod is easy to install and looks great. The price was okay, I bought at Overstock because I could not find what I needed in town. I feel the price compares almost the same as in the stores.

Love the look!

Ordered this rod, matching rings and 2 sets of 84" blackout curtains for a large double window 80" wide, all from Overstock. They all arrived within 5 business days in perfect shape. The rod and rings are finished beautifully and are well made. And they're easy to install since they come with their own mollies and screws. We extended the rod to about 106" so that when the drapes are pulled open the bulk of the fabric is on either side of the window frame giving the illusion of a much wider window without blocking the view. The rod comes with only 3 brackets for this width but even though we have 4 heavy panels on the rod, it is nice and sturdy. We installed the brackets using a drill, a hammer to tap in the mollies, and then screwed the brackets into the mollies. The brackets come apart so you can put the bracket insert where you want it on the rod and then screw it back into the base bracket. This is helpful if you want to make adjustments to the rod like extending it further and putting a couple of the rings on the outside of the end brackets so the end panels won't slide too far to the middle allowing light and air to come in on the ends of the window, (like we did). I also ring-clipped the 2 panels together on each side by folding the ends in and clipping with one clip. This helps to block the light when you pull the 2 sides, (of 2 panels each side), closed in the middle. It also helps to fold the vertical hem in on the outside end panel and ring-clipping the fold together. There's plenty of fabric to create soft folds that look beautiful when the curtains are closed and helps with the blackout and insulating effect. I love the look and would definately recommend the rod, rings and curtains to anyone!

Wonderful curtain rod.

These curtain rods are good quality and nice finish. I was able to find matching curtain rings at a local retailer. Shopped around and this was a good price, as well.
