I am so happy that I found this chair on Overstock! It is a true modernist classic and is fairly well-known in interior design circles. For an easy and quick way to upgrade the style of your home, this replica is a good, affordable option. They look great in my minimally decorated living room, and although the smooth tubular frame is rather light, it is designed in such a brilliant way that it affords tremendous support and comfort.

This is a faithful reproduction of the famous “Wassily chair,” AKA the Model B3 chair, designed by the famous Jewish-Hungarian modernist architect and designer Marcel Breuer in 1925 while he was the head of the cabinet-making workshop at the famed Bauhaus Workshop, in Dessau, Germany. It is as “iconic Bauhaus/Euro-modern” as you can get -- a chair that has graced the homes of many a member of the elite class. If you like modern design, you’d be TOTAL FOOL for not picking up one or two of these, esp. at this price.

These Wassily chairs are almost too good to be true. They are terrific reproductions, sturdy and well made, incredibly comfortable and great looking. They arrived within a few days of my order, well-packed and in perfect condition. A great value for the price. They look and feel much, much more expensive.

I've always wanted one of these, it's perfect, and now I want more of them. Pictures do not do it justice - it is a piece of art history that will never go out of style.

I hesitated on buying this chair. I actually had my eye on a chair that I spotted at a warehouse store, but couldn't bring myself to pay that much money for just 1 chair...so, I bought 2 of these for much much less than the 1. The whole entire transaction was smooth and within the weekend they were delivered - totally unexpected. Packaging was detailed...not a scratch to be found - totally unexpected. Craftsmanship excellent, strudy but light weight and above all...comfortable - totally unexpected in a most very good way!

I would have given these chairs a 5 star rating except they have light tan top stiching that was not indicated in the copy nor did it show up in the on-line photo. I thought the stiching would be black. They are very nice chairs and I am warming up to the lighter stiching but still feel I would have preferred black stiching. Howvever, the value cannot be questioned. A friend who has a similar chair said he thought these chairs had better leather than his. He bought his from a contemporary furniture store.

I ordered this chair and it arrived quickly the following week. The leather is of a good quality, however some loose threads that were kind of obvious were there. The chrome frame was a little marred in one place, nothing major. I think it is a little on the expensive side for what it is but the compliments I've recieved on it make up for that !

I have a friend who has the original designer version of this chair and these seem every bit as good to me. I am amazed that they appear to be a high quality thick leather for the seats and nearly impossible to tell from the very high priced originals. This is one of the best bargains I have ever gotten on Overstock. Are the chairs cozy and comfortable - no - but I bought them for the appearance and for extra seating not to curl up and read a book in. If you want a comfy lounge chair buy something different, if you want a high style yet very low key chair this is the one. We specifically wanted something attractive, yet "airy" since they are to go in front of a sliding glass door with a beautiful view we didn't want to block. These are perfect for that, and so stylish they really "dissappear" into the room without blocking light or view. We love them!

It's a great redoing of a classic design for significantly less cost.

I have to put a pillow at my back for proper posture and I put a soft throw over it because the arm rests hurt my elbows, but it does look good

I was very surprised to find that this chair is simply great. It is a eye turner and conversation piece. I was also surprised to sit in it and see how sturdy it is and comfortable. It provides my comtemporary den with the modern appeal that I have been seeking. Very satisfied with the great price, quality of product and timely delivery as well as the secure packaging. I ordered this chair on Saturday and recieved it on Wed. It was well packed and frame was wrapped and well protected. Nothing to assemble! Unwrap and sit. Chair was without any marks or blemishes on the leather or chrome. Looks great and leather is very sturdy, well stitche and leather is tight on the frame (no sagging). Large creme stiching creates a good outline andout too much contrast. The chair is very comfortable and stylish. Light wieght, but not cheap. Great deal and value for the price! Note the footprint of the chair frame is a decnet size, so pay attention to the space you are putting it. I almost ordered two, but I think I is sufficient for the room I put it in.

Purchased two of these. Both excellent. Flawless out of the box. If you are looking for a modern, bauhaus style and want to save like--- 2k per chair, get these. Best part, my evil pets see no need to destroy them. Bonus points for the win.

I've wanted to own this chair for quite a long time, and finding this reproduction at such an affordable price made it possible. I love the look of the classic lines and style, and it looks terrific in my loft space. The leather is of good quality and the frame seems well made and sturdy. I was very impressed by how quickly it was shipped and how well packaged it was. My friends who have seen it thought it was a great find for the price. Now I'm planning on ordering another one so I can have a pair.
