When this chair arrived in two pieces, my first thought was, the quality was not what I imagined it would be, for what I had paid. Was I WRONG! Every moment, getting this chair out of the two boxes, brought new discoveries. The chair is very heavy and when my husband and I turned it over, to screw the feet into the pre-drilled holes (they went in very easily), we discovered there was a mechanism in the bottom of the chair. Hmmmm. At first we couldn't imagine why, but then discovered a lever. It was discreetly tucked between the right arm of the chair and where the cushion was to go. Aha! A recliner!! And quite the fabulous recliner too! As for assembly, other than the feet, the back of the chair slides easily and snaps into heavy duty hardware on either side of the base. Then, viola, you are done. The leather is soft and supple and a gorgeous shade of red. The chair is deliciously comfortable and exceptionally well made. The back reclines almost all the way, however it appears (at least to the extent we've investigated), that there is no foot rest that pops out. A nice ottoman would solve that for those who want to put their feet up. This chair, in my opinion, is well worth every penny of the asking price and who can go wrong with 2.95 shipping? Came fast via Fed Ex. Same style is also apparently available in a lovely chocolate brown on the site. Although I can't speak to that the brown one is also a recliner. And being as Overstock does not advertise the chair as a recliner, I can't speak to that all the red ones are either, but the one I receive surely is.

- How accurate was the on site description of the product? The chair I received is also a recliner!! Albeit a very cleverly disguised recliner.
