    • Beautiful

      Ordered a set of two bookcases and they arrived within three business days in excellent condition. Initially I was worried about ordering furniture through Overstock but the customer service through Live Chat alleviated my anxiety. They checked the stock and informed me that these bookcases were "first quality" and I would have no problems returning them in the event of damage. Thankfully they arrived in perfect condition and were assembled quickly. They are as beautiful as pictured.

    • Manhattan Bookcase

      I ordered three bookcases. They were much bigger than I expected. One bookcase was damaged, Overstock gave me a $40 credit on that one, as it turned out, it wasn't nearly enough. One bookcase arrived without hardware to put it together. Overstock said they would initiate a request from their parts department. I called several times. I finally got the parts by calling the manufacturer, who sent them 2-day mail. Overstock never did send them. The pieces didn't fit quit right and the bookcases do not fit tightly together, there are gaps between some of the parts.. Splinters of the finish cracked off as I was screwing the back on the bookcases. There were no pre-drilled holes for the backing and not much room, so the particle board cracked on the edges as I was putting in the screws. I feel that for more than $**** each, these were not especially good quality. I was looking for something nicer than *****, and these are more in that mold. The illustration was misleading as to scale, since they stand much higher and are bulkier than appeared in the picture. If you want a fairly large, dark, three-shelf bookcase, this one will work for you. I have the matching dresser and that came perfectly last year, but it didn't have to be assembled. If they weren't already assembled and so bulky, I would send them back!

    • Beautiful

      Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! This bookcase is great - nice and sturdy. It arrived promptly - UPS even brought it inside and gave me some time to look it over. Packaging was very good. One of the shelves and the backing had very minor damage, which doesn't diminish the bookcase at all, as both are hidden once the bookcase is assembled. Assembly took me about 30 minutes, and even though there are basically no written instructions the pictures were easy enough to understand.I bought the matching end tables, and media console too. The end tables are so STATELY and pretty. . . . Console hasn't arrived yet, but will be here in a couple of days.I liked the bookcase so much, I bought a second one!!Thanks, again, Overstock!!!
