I have a small living room and I wanted furniture with a minimal footprint and not too high either. This fit the bill very well. I also bought the same collection's corner chair to pair with it and have made many different configurations with them depending on my needs. Surprising also is the seating cushion's solid yet comfy factor. I had a sick dog so I slept on these two pieces together to keep an ear out in the living room and being 5'4" I fit on them well and slept like a baby. The pieces are not very heavy, so it is best to have them on carpet so they do not move too easily. I have tile so I bought a runner that just fits under their feet without sticking out and have not had an issue. I just wouldn't plop down on them...but their size doesn't scream, "Come jump on me!" unless you're a cat...then I'm sure it does. There were 2 reasons it got less than 5 stars 1) is because the material is a little thin, but I'm sure I'll have them a little while and get them recovered; and 2) is because no matter how hard I tried, the legs would never match up to be even. I unscrewed one a little then another and another, but never found the right combination. However, once I put the small rug under it, that all went away. It was only a little off once I started playing with all the leg heights. Of course you can only unscrew it so much without disrupting the structural integrity of the leg and piece of furniture, especially when the cat decides to jump on it. :)
