beware, needs modification
love the headboard, but am guessing it is a European product. The bolts that come out of the base of the headboard to attach to your bedframe do not match up. Luckily i have a hardware store near by. i bought large sqaure rubber furniture/floor protectors, turned the rubber feet of bedframe upside down which raised the bed about 3/4 of a cm, and then placed that in the large square rubber protectors underneath that to lift up bed to height that would allow bolts of headboard to match up height wise with the holes in the metal plates on bedframe. you need to lift bed about 2 cm to meet bolts of bedframe properly.

Not for a US bed
Here is, I believe, the bottom line on why so many people had trouble installing the headboard. The holes on the bed frame don't line up with the headboard bracket because it is made overseas for a European style bed. In other words - no box spring is expected to be used - only a platform and a mattress. If you intend to use a typical American style bed it will not work. The use of a boxspring eliminates half of the headboard from site by the time the mattress goes on top and the pillows on top of that. I had to buy table legs at my local hardware box store and attach the headboard to the legs to raise it up.

Headboard arrived in good condition - as expected. Fabric color was accurate. Disappointed in fabric quality - slightly shiny - was looking for more natural appearance, but adequate for price.

Classes up the joint
I love this headboard. It really changed the look of my room and made it more sophisticated. After reading the reviews I was prepared for the headboard to be low, so I put it on some bed risers and did not attach it to the frame. You can't see the risers past the bed skirt and it is easier to make the bed without the frame attached. I am very pleased with the quality of this item.

not so overjoyed
Headboard does not fit standard metal bedframe. Overstocks only suggestion was to purchase their *** frame. I wish that I had been informed before I purchased the headboard.

Nice Headboard
We really like this headboard, the actual product looks exactly like the photo. We haven't tried attaching it to our bed yet however we are prepared for some of the bolts to not match based on the other review. Currently, we just have our bed pressed up against it, and while it looks lower it, it works out just fine. The only complaint I have is that it has this smell from manufactured wood that was very strong the first night. We are now on day 3 and the smell is not as bad anymore however it was very off putting the first and second night.

Perfect description.
It was exactly what we wanted and exactly as picture. The quality is awesome and the price is equally awesome!!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!! The ONLY issue is that it does not line up properly with an American Standard Queen Bed frame, I'm assuming as everyone else has mentioned that is a European built headboard and so it is made with European bed frame specs. We just inserted the bottom screw into the top frame screw hole which raised it higher so you see more of the headboard and then we put two small blocks of wood under the legs of the headboard just for safety, but it doesn't even really need that since the bolts will easily support the headboard to the bed and this way the bed sits on the floor so there's no concern for bending or snapping the headboard while sleeping on the bed.
