love the headboard, but am guessing it is a European product. The bolts that come out of the base of the headboard to attach to your bedframe do not match up. Luckily i have a hardware store near by. i bought large sqaure rubber furniture/floor protectors, turned the rubber feet of bedframe upside down which raised the bed about 3/4 of a cm, and then placed that in the large square rubber protectors underneath that to lift up bed to height that would allow bolts of headboard to match up height wise with the holes in the metal plates on bedframe. you need to lift bed about 2 cm to meet bolts of bedframe properly.

Headboard arrived in good condition - as expected. Fabric color was accurate. Disappointed in fabric quality - slightly shiny - was looking for more natural appearance, but adequate for price.

This is an excellent value. We will see how it holds up over time. It doesn't feel flimsy at all. It came well wrapped. We experienced no problems connecting it to a standard bed frame. Very satisfied with this purchase.

This is an overall great headboard for the price. The fabric and style will go with just about any bedroom decor and it adds a soft dimension to the bedroom without being feminine. While reading others' reviews, it became obvious to me that I would have a difficult time attaching the headboard to my bed frame. Since the headboard is up against a wall in my room, I just left it unattached and no one can tell the difference. The only downside for me was that the headboard was a few inches too short for my liking. I found a simple solution: I went to Wal Mart, bought bed risers and stuck one under each foot of the headboard. Problem solved!!

Pleased with look and feel. Exxtremely sturdy for the price. I read the reviews and was not suprised but this is a pain to install. The bracket do not match average US bed frame. Purchased additional hardware and longer bolts to ensure the correct fit. Overall please for the price.

This is a very pretty headboard. Not very tall as other reviewers stated. I knew this ahead time since I took the measurements online and measured in the bedroom. I no longer am using my euro pillow shams because it would completely cover the nice look of the headboard. The fabric is a bit buckled around where the indentations are. Not a biggie for the price. I also purchased the universal bedframe that is recomended on overstock to go with the headboard. Did not have even a second of trouble putting it together. Fit like a glove!!! Had no smell whatsoever as other people stated.

Thanks to the spot on reviews from other customers, I knew that the headboard was generally good quality for the price, was on the short side and there might be difficulty attaching to the bed frame, and unlike many others on the internet did NOT have a strong chemical smell. When mine arrived, I was pleased with the overall appearance and lack of smell, but disappointed that the top seam was poorly finished - very uneven and noticeable, which did cheapen the overall look. Although I was concerned about the difficulty of repacking and returning, I decided that for the $$ spent, I was entitled to better seaming in such a visible location. Overstock customer service couldn;t have been more helpful and facilitated my return and even expedited the exchange since I indicated my handyman would only be available for another week. Luckily, the exchange arrived on his last day - the seaming was fine, he brought it up to my bedroom and installed it without much difficulty - he just attached two of the bolts and it holds up well against the wall. Glad I exchanged it ! While it is a lower height that I would have liked, I have a small bedroom and looks great with my new dark cherry furniture. And it can always be raised, as others have suggested.

It looks very nice - will have my handyman put it together to bed frame, but love the appearance. Material is quite nice but does have that bad new furniture smell so open outside if this bothers you.

Here is, I believe, the bottom line on why so many people had trouble installing the headboard. The holes on the bed frame don't line up with the headboard bracket because it is made overseas for a European style bed. In other words - no box spring is expected to be used - only a platform and a mattress. If you intend to use a typical American style bed it will not work. The use of a boxspring eliminates half of the headboard from site by the time the mattress goes on top and the pillows on top of that. I had to buy table legs at my local hardware box store and attach the headboard to the legs to raise it up.

You will have to have a second hold drilled into each plate that attaches to your bed frame. The holes and poles did not line up.

We have been looking at Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and others at headboards that are 4 times the price of this one and 8 week waits. I was not going to spend that much money unless we absolutely had to. Well, we didn't. Quality, color, fabric, installation ease are all top notch. We ordered on a Sunday night and it arrived on a Wednesday morning. Plus it is "Made in the USA". This was our first experience on Overstock.com and we are now a solid customer and will go to overstock first before we buy anything again. What a great value!

Love this classic looking headboard. After putting it up, decided we would like it to sit higher. Went to the hardware store and purchase some brackets...now it's perfect.

This headboard is great. I had my handyman add some height to it as it was too low and would have been covered up by my pillow collection. I have a sleep number so there wasn't anything to attach the headboard to. No worries though. We just shoved the bed against the headboard...perfect. Great price!

When I opened the box on its arrival I was thrilled...it was better then I expected...very well made and solid...the color would go with any decor as well as the style of the headboard...I placed my bed in front of the bay windows in my bedroom...I have chocolate drapes and the they just frame this headboard beautifully...if you are deciding whether to buy it or not....BUY IT!!
