Pillows look luxurious on my couch and are comfy to lay on - I prefer to flip them over and lay on the flat side. Shag is only on one side of pillow. Please note they will SHED When you wash them, be prepared to clean out your laundry machines afterwards. Don't wash these with clothing.

The pillows have a unique texture. However, the backs are just a solid fabric.

The pillows are really cute and go well with our decor even though the color of the pillows was a bit darker than we expected. Since there were no pictures provided of the other side, we wished that there was a description of the other side.

Way better than expected, as I could not be sure if I was ordering a pillow set or two big shag muffins, based on the photos. The photo is from an angle that I cannot replicate, now that I have the items. The shape is elliptical, or to quote my neighbor, ?a bit like a shag flying saucer?. Hope that helps to picture what arrives. I received them in late October of 2009, so my remarks are after using them daily for four months. Good quality and look line new. The tan/beige is a nice shade, lighter than most and more like ?bone?. The shag is a nice length and thick, giving it a good textural appearance at a distance and up-close. As for firmness, on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being a damp sponge and 10 being a dry sponge, these are about a 7. Firm, with some cushy. As for comfort, cats are experts at what is and isn?t comfortable. My cat enjoyed sleeping on one for several days day, so you can expect to like the these for support, but his comfort test revealed one design problem - - he rolled off as soon as he nodded off. Frankly, I wish they were a couple inches wider too.

They are exactly what you see in the listing. Goes with almost everything and adds a pop of interest with it's texture.

I thought these pillows were a great buy and they had the texture I was looking for. I was a little disappointed with the fabric that backed the pillows - I felt it made the pillows look a litlle cheap. So I cut the chenille top off the 2nd pilow and sewed it to the first pillow, covering the original muslin-like backing. Now I have a pillow with that funky, thick chenille shag on BOTH sides. The pillow looks great and much more expensive than before. And the pillows were so affordable, I can certainly order a 2nd set to make a second pillow.

I love these pillows. I have a couple square ones I found at a closeout store and have been looking for a couple more. great value, a well known import store had them on" clearence" ONE for thirty two dollars! I have an ocean themed living room and they look great!! they remind me of coral and give great texture as well as the soft cotton comfort!!!

I purchased these pillows for a clients bedroom that has a "beachy theme" & they worked perfect. The pillows reminded me of something you'd see in the ocean. They added the textural element I was looking for.
