These are nice mats. There is a rubber backing, which the description doesn't mention, so they don't slide. They are very soft. My only concern is they are very dense plush, which shows every bit of lint, etc. I got the dark brown ones, so that shows. But they do feel great on the feet.
This rug is very soft and looks nice. However every piece of lint and dog hair sticks to it, and is obvious because of the color (espresso brown) I would not recommend this color if you have a pet. I give it 4 stars, because it feels so soft on my feet and looks great before the dog hair starts clinging to it.
