I read the reviews here before I ordered and I figured the bad ones were probably a little unfair. I am always very reasonable when reviewing purchases. I realize some items are not as good as others and thought I would give this table and chairs a try......OH I WISH I HADN'T....I purchased this table for my daughter's new home and when it arrived, she left it in the box because she had not moved in yet. I encouraged her to check everything in the box just to be sure. Good job I did. The table top is a JOKE. I have NEVER seen such trash in my life. It is cheap press board covered in -get this- plastic shelf lining AND it is peeling off at all four corners. It is also warped. The glass insert does not fit properly and moves around in the recess cut out for it. The 'wood' behind it is bare press board and can be seen all the way round. I was so embarrased when I saw it and of course wanted to send it back. My daughter didn't want me to feel bad and said to just get the table top replaced as the frame wasn't too bad -just a few bent pieces which could be bent back. I called Overstock and I am supposed to be getting a call back regarding getting the replacement table top. This item is SERIOUSLY poor quality...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY...

This was my first time ordering from Overstock. I will hesitate to do so again. The table TOP needs to be described in more detail. I am happy, for the price paid, with the chairs and the BASE of the table. The table TOP is another matter. The table top is made from press-board. That in itself my not be so bad, but what covers the press-board is paper designed to look like wood grain. It's awful. There will be no way I can EVER set a cup/can/mug that has condensation on it on the table top. It will bubble immediately. I will never be able to slide a plate across it, it will tear. Also, the center of the table top has a smoke colored piece of glass set in it. That's nice, but that piece of glass was taped to the table top paper. Upon removing the tape, the paper peeled up. The only reason I am keeping the set is because my father is an awesome wood-worker and has volunteered to make a new table-top.

The metal frame and chairs are nice basicly is what you are paying for because the table's top is disappointing but it is easy to assemble and strong enough for my children to set and eat a meal from.

The set is attractive for the money. I bought it for my autistic son's new low-income appartment. I wouldn't recommend it to people who can afford to spend a little more on a higher quality product.

The chairs are really bad. Had very sharp edges which is not good if you have or not kids. Table is bad too. Hard to put top together with frame and too many things to list. I will not recommended to anyone. I wish I could return it back unfortunately this was delivered to my Florida home and I am leaving back to NYC tomorrow, not enough time to return and get another one.

It was hard to put together when I finally got it together I found it to be too small for my needs. I would return it but I can't take it apart and put it back in the box. I should have looked at the dimensions better.
