the delivery was on time as always can be expected with overstock.com. contrary to a prior review, our box was in fine shape and the contents packed securely. i put the couch together in a moderate amount of time. it took about an hour and a half(by my self). the only problem i came across was the following the diagram instructions. because it wasn't exactly clear i ended up puting it together backwards and had to re-do it. now it works great and its super comfortable as a couch and a bed. i would defiantely recommend this couch, as well as overstock.com for online shopping!

I've been choosing a sofa for my living room so long time, and finally decided to buy this one. Especially because of unwanted guests, this sofa looks great in both sofa and bed modes. I got this on the fifth day after order - which is comparable quick. Delivered with UPS on Christmas Eve (in room delivery). I spent about two hours to get it assembled and tested. No extra tools were needed - excepting a knife to unpack it carefully. The assembly was quite fun and easy, even more easier than famous ****products. I was able to put all together ALONE with no anybody help. The overall quality is superior - everything fits well and smell nice. I LIKED IT! The covers can be detached and washed in worst cases, but this procedure is not fun and not easy. I would definitely recommend this product to any family who wants to save money, who meets unwanted guests, who has average (not huge) living room. I also want to say thank you to Overstock online support - they guided me from the ordering process till the delivery, as this was my first purchase here. The only problem was UPS did not call prior arrival, so I had have to sit at home all the day. Although, it's raining anyway...

. . .except the UPS man who had to lug the 150 lb. box into my house. Assembly directions were clear -- and even recommended at the outset that two people work on putting it together. While this would not have been absolutely necessary, it certainly made it easier. Unlike many assemble-it-yourself projects, pieces fit perfectly, holes were drilled in the correct places, and only one short screw was slightly troublesome. Padded armrests and coil springs make the finished product look more like a regular couch than a futon. The wrinkled microsuede fabric smoothed out in a couple of days, and the result looks like upholstery rather than the fitted slipcover (securely held in place everywhere by Velcro straps and bands) it really is. The seat is deep, perhaps a wee bit too deep for a short person, but everyone who has sat on it has found it quite comfy.

Sofa bed acquired for use in vacation rental. Good value for the price. As noted by other reviewers, seam where back and seat meet to allow folding makes use as bed marginal for long-term use. We're going to try to make a filler for it. Couch is also a bit deep for us short-legged folks.

We were looking for a sofa for our new tv room and decided to go for this one. Nice looking and took me about 30 minutes to asseble it.

The couch itself is very sturdy and actually quite comfortable. My only concern is the front of the cushions do not sit up high enough over the front support beam. Other than that, the couch is great. I was also very pleased with the expedient delivery of the item, as I have ordered from other "free shipping" web sites and waited over a month to receive my item. This couch was at my house (i live on an island) in a week! I could not have been happier!

I'M SO PROUD OF THIS SOFA, I'D LIKE TO USE IT IN MY LIVING ROOM...BUT PURCHED FOR THE DEN SO COMPANY COULD SLEEP ON IT. IT WAS USED FOR OVERNITERS LAST WEEK. THEY SAID IT FELT A LITTLE FIRM AT FIRST..BUT WITHIN MOMENTS FELL ASLEEP AND DIDNT MOVE TIL THEY AWOKE. THEY WERE SO IMPRESSED THAT THEY PLAN ON BUYING ONE TOO. EASY TO ASSEMBLE..DEFINATELY EASIER WITH TWO PEOPLE. MY SHIPMENT ARRIVED IN A WEEK IN ONE BOX. THIS IS WELL WORTH THE PRICE!!!....JJ-MAINE

I love this couch because It is very pretty and it is really comfortable. I also loved the price!!! I am glad I bought this on overstock because I saw the same couch in a store for a few hundred more. I definitely would recommend this couch to a friend.

This has served me well for sitting and for guests to sleep over. It was a bit challenging to set up on my own...the instructions did recommend two people. I was impatient ! So, I slowed down and paid close attention to the instructions and all went well. The fabric is comfortable, the conversion from couch to bed is simple and effective. I wish the seats were a bit more padded, but otherwise, for this price, the design and function has worked well.

This futon sofa was difficult to put together and fell apart after less than a year of gentle use. Also, everyone who has slept on it complains that they are sucked into the center seam of the futon. Now we cannot get the futon to convert back to a sofa!

I love this futon! It is beyond my expectations and then some.No one will know it is a futon unless you tell them.I had been looking at it for almost 3 yars since we redid our home. It is perfect for the grandkids bedroom. When they are there to spend the night we are covered; otherwise, their room is a family room.The color is beautiful and right on.The assembly was pretty time consuming, but were pretty easy to follow. All in all, it is a great looking couch/futon.

I am very happy with my purchase. The shipping was very fast, and the assembly was straightforward. It took me over an hour to assemble, but it was worth it as this was the only "couch" I could fit in my basement. I took a risk and purchased two at the same time. I am 5'10" and was able to sleep fairly comfortably on the bed. Someone taller may have a problem, but it is perfect for me. Overall very satisfied!

Does not look like a futon; More like an expensive contemporary sofa. Very comfortable for sitting or sleeping. Is being used in a den that sometimes functions as a guest room. Assembly took some time but was not very difficult. Directions were pretty clear. Excellent value.

I found this sofa very difficult to assemble due to very poor directions and the weight of the pieces. Once assembled, about 3 hours later, it stays in a reclining position. The directions are also not clear about the placement of the velcro straps that hang down from the back. The fabric is wrinkled and the black fabric from the bottom bed support clearly shows in the front. It is not for use with the back showing either. It is about what one would expect from purchasing something online without seeing it first.

I have been shopping for a futon to use in our office/guest bedroom for some time, only to be disappointed with the lack of quality & appearance of ones in the stores. Being a well satisfied Overstock shopper in the past I started searching the site. Not only was I pleased with the convenience of not driving all over the countryside to shop and be concerned about delivery charges, but the quality, appearance and comfort of the futon are exceptional! It really looks like a sofa. Recent visitors could not believe how comfortable and sturdy the futon was. I even take an occasional nap on it and enjoy a very restful sleep! I would recommend this item to everyone who has a need for extra sleeping arrangements. It really is dual-purpose (couch/sleeper), looks like quality furniture and is exceptionally comfortable!

I'll be honest... I hesitated to order furniture online, but I knew I could trust Overstock.com. Shipping was right when the said it would be (approximately 6 days). They had the best price and the furniture is incredible. You really are paying for good quality furniture and your savings are putting it together instead of the factory. I believe it's worth every penny. The couch looks like and is a great couch. The futon is very comfortable to sleep on and I believe I could for long stints of time. Other reviews have stated there is a gap between the spring sets (the back and seat), but mine has no gap. I believe proper assembly and good factory response to possible issues eliminated this issue. Overall this is a great product and I would recommend this as the futon of choice!!!

This is the first piece of furniture that I have purchased on line. It was easy to put together, it is very comfortable. I have not slept on it, but I think it will sleep comfortably as well. It is a very beautiful piece of furniture and the price was great. Thanks, I will purchase again.

I have never been let down by the quality of a piece of furniture that I have purchased from Overstock. They always accurately describe the piece and provide access to reviews, good and bad for you to view prior to purchase. I purchased this for my study as a "hideaway" during the day for relaxing and for company when our bedroom capacity hit overflow. Everyone that has slept on this as a sleeper sofa said it was the best they had ever experienced, no rod poking you in the back in the middle. For those that are having problems with a large gap, it sounds like maybe a problem with their assembly. The assembly was a breeze and I have recommended it to everyone I knew buying futons for their kids in college or for their own homes. The sofa seat is very deep which I find very attractive in a sofa and it is firm to sit on or lie on. I've had it almost two yrs now and can not tell any difference from the day it came out of the box; despite the heavy use. Very good decision and several colors to chose from.

The manufacturers must be listening because the problem about a gap in the middle of the bed mentioned in another review has been eliminated. The back and seat are now the same size so it's hard to get it wrong. The only thing that is still not perfect is the drawing on the directions. With the help of a previous reviewer I figured that out and could probably have put it together myself but an extra pair of hands was useful.I bought the couch for my living room and it is a great color, soft beige-brown and looks just fine. I don't think that most people would notice that it is a futon. The bed is super comfortable. The couch is firmer than my old one but I got used to it right away.It is so easy to convert back and forth. I cannot understand how they can make such a quality product for this price.Thanks a lot, Overstock, you saved me big money.
