I like this pillow's uniqueness. Very attractive to look at. I was expecting a warmer color of brown but it works okay. This pillow is not a soft, cozy pillow, however. The fabric is on the stiff side. Not a nap pillow for sure. But it look good with my other pillows. The stuffing is substantial and lends itself to back support very well.Read More
I ordered this pillow in white and it is very pretty. It's white not off white, looks very expensive,Read More
At first glance these pillows seem to be exactly as ordered except that the product tag on them list the color as "ivory" when in fact the color is "white"Read More
This pillow is exactly as described. It adds a nice bit of texture to any bedding, and has a unique look. The fabric is sturdy and the decorative fabric pieces are well-attached to the pillow. I recommend this product and am very pleased with my purchase. If I ever need another pillow of this sort, I will definitely buy another of these.Read More
I ordered this pillow in black to go with a light grey quilted bed cover on my kingsize bed. I like the pillow very much as it has such a unique appearance and compliments the quilt I bought, which is called "Petals" and also has very similar bunches of 'petals' scattered around on its surface. The only word of caution I would make is to caution that the fabric used to make this pillow is much more textured than it appears in the photos on the website. I thought the material would be a very soft, suede- or felt-like fabric, but the fabric used in this pillow is more like a soft, black linen: it has a very visable weave and is not exactly as it appears in the photos. It is still a wonderful pillow, and I am thinking of buying the grey as well. It has added considerably to the unique appearance of my bedding set. I am very peased with this product and recoommend it for those who like unusual, artistic things.Read More
I bought the white pillows for a client as accents on twin beds. They are perfect and give a fun, updated look. I don't know how they would hold up on sofas with people leaning on them, etc., but they look wonderful and add a lot to the room.Read More
I LOVE THESE PILLOWS! I am so pleased with these pillows. I purchased two white ones and have received nothing but rave reviews from everyone who has come over and seen them. I think I will be ordering more maybe in a different color!Read More
I love these pillows. I was eyeing them for a while and finally pulled the trigger... I was not disappointed... my husband thinks they look more like feathers then leaves but either way we both like them : )Read More
I was pleasantly surprised after I received the pillows: I ordered two, one coffee bean and one bay leaf. The pillows are very firm and of great quality. The cover was exactly as described. Note: the 'scales' on the cover are stiff but not off-putting. The hidden zipper looks great and feels expensive. The colors matched the images. Great purchase --- Very satisfied.Read More

Tips on Decorating with Throw Pillows
Throw pillows can bring together a room's color palette and design scheme, providing balance, elegance and visual interest to your home decor. Throw pillows can soften the look of a heavy leather sofa or add a punch of color to a wingback chair. Changing throw pillows is also an inexpensive and simple way to change the design scheme of a room. Either purchase new accent pillows or cover existing ones with new slipcovers, and then throw them anywhere, from your sofa to your bedroom chaise lounge.
Bed Pillows vs Throw Pillows
Dress up your bed with both throw pillows and bed pillows for a cozy, relaxing spot. While down bed pillows are functional and provide support and comfort for the sleeper, throw pillows serve as accents, adding texture and color to the bed. This guide will help you find both bed pillows and decorative throw pillows and determine the features of each.

Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
Best Types of Tile for Kitchen Countertops
Tile kitchen countertops are an affordable alternative to traditional solid stone units. Countertop tile can be made from many of the most popular materials, such as granite or quartz, yet costs just a fraction of the price. Tile countertops are also easy to install and repair, making them the perfect project for the DIY homeowner. Ceramic. Ceramic tile is made from natural clay that is baked to remove excess moisture. It is available in a wide variety of colors and designs that can be mixed and matched to any kitchen. Ceramic tile is affordable, easy to install and very low maintenance. It is also waterproof and able to withstand high temperatures from hot dishes. If you choose ceramic tile for your kitchen countertops, you should be aware that ceramic tile can crack or chip if heavy objects are dropped on it. To minimize grout stains, you can choose a dark grout and use a grout sealer to protect the seams from dirt. Mosaic. Mosaic tile comes in tiny 1-inch square units. It is often sold in large sheets that are attached to a mesh backer-board, making for easy and fast installation. These tiles can be mixed to create unique patterns and textures, and are very durable. One advantage of mosaic tiles is that they are colored all the way through, so a chip or crack will not be as visible as with ceramic tile. Granite. Granite tile is a natural stone product that is widely popular in kitchen decor. Tiles made from granite offer the beauty of natural stone at a fraction of the cost. Granite tiles often have a mottled surface that helps to hide dirt and fingerprints and are incredibly strong and long-lasting. Like all granite products, these tiles must be sealed after installation and at least once a year for the duration of their use. Quartz. Quartz tile is a manufactured product designed to look similar to granite while offering superior performance. It is made from crushed quartz crystals pressed together with resin. Quartz tile has a smooth and uniform surface with a consistent grain. It is slightly less expensive than granite and is much more durable and long-lasting. Unlike granite, quartz tiles do not need to be sealed. They are completely nonporous, which prevents bacteria from becoming trapped in the surface. Quartz cannot be repaired as easily as granite, however, and it offers none of the natural beauty and color variation of real stone. View All Tile Back to Guides Directory View All Tile
