This is a great high quality knife. Alot like a wusthof for a fraction of the price. Holds a razor sharp edge that will glide through anything without force. comfortable weight and balance. I am a full time cook for a hilton hotel and I use this knife everyday, mainly for chopping vegetables. I refuse to spend tons of money on the expensive big name brands when I can get the same high quality steel for alot less at overstock.

This knife is often horribly overpriced. Not the case here. It's worth every penny. It's beautifully structured and balanced. I would recommend it to anyone, except of course a serial killer.

As of the first 4-5 times I have used this Knife, I like it very much. Light and good balance. Seems to hold an edge but will know more in a few months.

I was cringing to see just how sharp and good looking it was opening the package but it cut through a can of cement just like on tv lol. Actually if it cuts through a tomatoe without plattering the insides then it's SHARP!!!!! Thanx again O

This knife is better than is described. The photo does not show it, but it is a full tang unit. The handle is sturdy and just the right size. This knife will hold it's own against any $70 knife out there. It arrived very sharp and holds its edge well.

The MIU 7" Steel Santoku Knife we received was all that we expected. The unit price was better than most others with the same specifications, and this one seems to be a higher quality than the less expensive ones. We are happy we bought this one instead of the less expensive ones. If you can get a "O" discount coupon or money off code, then this is the one to get.

Nice knife--worth having. We waited to buy a santoku and I am glad we did. It really delivers, and can't believe the value. We are using a slotless knife block for some misc. knives, including this one. (The protective sleeve that came with it was nothing great--and I can't imagine using a sleeve and putting this sharp knife in and out of a drawer, anyhow.) If it holds up like other reviewers have indicated, I don't know why you would pay a high price for such a very useful and quality knife.

I have had this knife for about 6 months now. It has stayed super sharp (I wash it by hand.) I have paid more for knives, but this is my favorite.

This is my favorite knife in my home.Have owned it now for at least 3 years.Still works as well as the day I received it. It handles well, and is very sharp. It comes with it's own sleeve, which is great.Would purchase again. A quality product.

This knife is saving me time and effort in preparing our daily meals for our family of 10. It has a nice wight for bulk chopping and can slice/julienne beautifully.

I knew I wasn't getting a quality knife when I ordered this Santoku; however, I was at least hoping for a blade that stayed sharp longer than the first use. Seriously. There is only one tiny piece of the blade, near the handle, that is actually sharp enough to slice a tomato. Otherwise, the rest of the blade is dull. I understand that I wasn't getting a Wustof quality knife but I did expect better quality than what I received. I shop Overstock A LOT and this is my first disappointment.

This knife is a great deal and is super sharp. I am very pleased with all aspects of the knife and would order again in a heartbeat!

Great knife at a great price. Comes with a heavy plastic blade sleeve for safe storage. Use it every day.

The knife is nicely balanced and shaped; everything about it is fine except it is DULL. It will not slice into a tomato cleanly, and mincing things like onions and peppers is tedious. I have tried sharpening it with several sharpening stones, but it really needs a razor-sharp edge. Therefore, I do not recommend it.

I recently puchcased this knife as an everyday knife to use in my kitchen at home. I am in culinary school and have a nice set of Messermeister knives/bag that I use for cooking labs at school, but I wanted a knife to use at home. The MIU knife is a nice knife for the price--it is lightweight and feels well-balanced in the hand. The edge is pretty sharp and adequate for everyday prepping/chopping tasks. I was a bit disappointed that it was made in China, not France, but that's just a personal thing and the knife is still nice for the price. It chops well, but I haven't had it long enough to tell how well it will hold up in the long run; but it looks like it will sharpen easily and hold an edge well. I would recommend it for everyday use for the home chef/cook!

It's sharp and it's decently balanced. Good size blade.
