Dissapointed
 from Florida,  Jan 28, 2009

I was dissapointed with this product for a couple of reasons. One, the jars did not come with lables except cheap interior paper. Second, the jars do not rest well in the holder. I was also surprised that the jars and tops were plastic and not glass or metal. For the price I expected more.

Perfect, except..
from Grosse Pointe, MI,  Nov 27, 2010

really miss the spice labels, as mentioned on other reviews, they are hard to find, especially really nice ones. The rack itself is great, the jars are plastic as are the lids. But I have never been able to find a rack that holds 48 jars, looking forward to using it once I find the best labels, that will do a $****. spice rack justice!

Fabulous Spacesaver
from Beavertion, Or,  Nov 9, 2010

I ordered this spicerack because I had so many spices that they wouldn't fit inside a drawer in my new house. Not only does it hold all of them, it looks fabulous. It is very sturdy and well made. I also was thrilled to receive it so fast. I just wish that I could get the house unpacked as fast. Thanks for such a great product and service.

Good functionality but cheaply made
from Alberta, Canada,  Nov 6, 2010

There are very few spice racks out there that will hold this many spices - and in that way, this rack is great. But for the price I paid, I expected better workmanship and quality than what I received. When I pulled it out of the box, the wood pieces all separated and I had to glue everything back together. Also, the holes for the jars were different sizes, so only certain jars fit in certain holes. My last complaint is that the jars were made of cheap plastic and they look a bit hokey. But, after a few repairs, this spice rack is a good functional item that I'm sure I will have in my kitchen for a long time.

Spice Rack
 Oct 15, 2010

When it came to us as we took the rack out of the box it totally came unglued. We had to take it all apart and my Husband had to re-glue every section!! I like to quanity it holds but the workmanship was very poor. I could only recommend this item if I knew they would be able to re-build itl! Trust me it is glued VERY WELL now!

Love it!!
from Upstate, New York,  Sep 24, 2010

I really should have bought this a long time ago since it is used everyday now and makes cooking so much more fun. The price may seem a little high at first, but if you think about it, you will have it most likely for 50 years + and pass it down to the family. Thats less than 2 dollars a year. . . Its very sturdy, the only surprise I had was the color was lighter wood-colored that I first thought it was going to be. But still looks great and beautiful seeing all the colored spices in it.

48 jar spice rack
from Tucson, AZ,  Sep 7, 2010

Perfect fit for my kitchen. Good Quality. Printed spice names on 1-2/3" round labels (available at stationary supply stores). Daughters cooked in my kitchen on Labor Day - this spice rack is now on their Christmas wish lists.

Almost Excellent
 Jun 24, 2010

I would give this product a five star rating if it had come with labels for the jars. I read other reviews so I knew there were no labels, but did not realize what an ordeal it would be to find labels that worked for me. The quality of the product is very good and it looks beautiful on my kitchen counter. Plenty of room for all my spices!

Great Value
from Colorado Springs, CO,  Apr 28, 2010

There are very few high capacity spice racks available. One manufacturer touts its product as heirloom quality and prices it accordingly. We're pretty serious cooks and all we wanted was a convenient, economical way to store (a lot of) spices. This unit hit the nail on the head. It is made of beech, a light-colored, close-grain wood, and looks attractive on the countertop. The jars are high impact clear plastic with silver lids. Having broken a couple of spice jars in the past, I prefer plastic. The slots in the rack will accommodate standard spice bottles, so even if one breaks or gets lost, replacement is easy. The bottles come with colorful inserts that have names of various spices on them. I think these are more for displaying in the store than to be used as actual labels. I use the labels provided by my spice shop, and you can also use various paper labels that are available at business supply stores. Bottom line, it looks nice, works great, and fulfills its purpose.

Avoid Kitchen Clutter
 from Chicago,  Apr 11, 2010

Finally I can avoid rummaging through my cabinets while baking and eliminate the unnecessary purchase of expensive spices already on hand in my kitchen! Using labels made from my printer, I have organized the spice rack in two categories: spices used for baking, spices used for cooking. The spices are alphabetized and my cabinets, finally, are clutter free. Wish I had taken the time to do this years ago! It would have saved time, money and unnecessary trips to the store for spices I didn't need to purchase!

oops
 from Atlanta,GA,  Jan 4, 2010

I ordered one of these earlier, and we love it. It is very sturdy, easy to use and fits well under the cabinets. The price is a little steep but similar racks from other manufacturers are even more expensive. The spice rack saves a lot of space, looks clean, and stores a lot of spices (we are both hobby cooks). To get a handle on all of our present and future spices, we decided to order a second one. Here is where the downgrades come in. One of the panels for the spice jars was mounted upside down, causing the jars to slide out. I discovered this only when loading the rack, because the package jars are wrapped in plastic for transport and have more friction that kept them in the holes of the panel. Well it looks like Overstock will send a new one free of charge. Customer service was very friendly and I hope they keep their word.

MIU France 48-jar Beechwood Spice Rack
from Ottawa, ON Canada,  Dec 20, 2009

The spice rack arrived in a reasonable amount of time. It was well packaged with a box within a box and all contents were in good shape. We opened the product, washed out the plastic bottles and once dry filled them with spices. We used a label gun to create labels for the jars. We are pleased with the product. One suggestion is that some of the plastic liner discs should have appropriate sprinkling holes. As shipped all liner discs have one hole in the center of the disc which is too large for sprinkling.

MIU 48 jar spice rack
from Tucson AZ,  Aug 1, 2008

Will work very well for my husband who uses new spices weekly it seems. Lots of spices readily on hand in a small space. Only drawback is that the plastic caps (under the ouside cap) are of fragile plastic and crack rather easily. Spice labels not included with the set. Great value.

Labels
from Corvallis, Oregon,  Jul 30, 2008

The spice rack is great in terms of appearance and the amount of spices it holds. The drawback is that most of my labels were for oregano so I have had to re-label everything. Also, you cannot read the labels without pulling out the individual jars. Also, The bottles are not large enough to hold an entire bottle of the brand name item. This defeated my purpose which was to get rid of all these old bottles. I still think it was a good buy!!

Beechwood spice rack

The spice rack was received in a timely manner and packaged well. It is a high quality product. The only complaint is the labels, which were not complete, with some being duplicate.

You won't be disappointed
 from Philly,  Apr 22, 2008

I purchased this for my wife's birthday, and it has really changed our cooking experience for the better. It's well-crafted to allow a very broad range of spices to be literally at your fingertips. Good, user-friendly design that easily fit in with our kitchen. Each jar holds a fair amount of spice, so refills don't need to be made too frequently except for the most commonly used spices. The labels that came with the product didn't have all the spices we regularly use, so we purchased a tape gun separately and made our own additional labels. But that's likely a limitation of any spice rack. It's a bit more expensive than the others I looked at, but I think the 48-jar design, the easy swivel, and the attractive wood make this a very reasonable value.

MIU France 48-jar Beechwood Spice Rack
from Lake Elsinore, CA,  Mar 16, 2008

I moved from a house where I had quite a bit of room to store spices, to a place where I have a very small space in which to store my spices. Not only does this unit fit under the cabinet, but it swivels smoothly. The spice rack was shipped in 3 boxes, thus ensuring no issues with breakage or other problems. I really enjoy the uniformity of all the same size jar, as before my spices were in the consumer jars and seemed mismatched. I enjoy this product immensely.
