Good Color but . . .

Towels are disappointingly thin and light. These won't last long, I suspect. I don't think that these were up to the standards of other products that I've purchased at Overstock.

This is the 5th set of towels I purchase from Overstock.com. I have been very pleased with the quality as well as the price. The last set I've had for 6 years and we just purchased 4 new sets. And are VERY satisfied with the overall quality, softness and size.

The black towels that I ordered were not prewashed and as a result after washing a black film was left on the part that I was drying.

Problem with these towels

towels are a true disappointment ... I have washed and rewashed them and the towel fabric still comes off on your skin. I can not and will not ever recommend these towels to anyone.

Poor Workmanship

When I recieved the towels I thought to myself oh boy. Like another reviewer stated, they did smell, so of course I threw them in the washing machine. A couple of the towels began to fall apart. Disappointing - very much so.

I don't know which towels the other reviewers received, but these are very thick and soft. I don't know, maybe they shed in the dryer, but even if they do, after 6 months, they still feel as soft and thick as day one. I"m ordering more!

Worst Towels Ever!!!

Do not buy these towels!!! They are the worst towels I have ever purchased!! First off not only do they look cheap, they fade, and the fall apart immediately but for some reason they smell terrible!!! I have tried washing them several times but the terrible smell will not go away. I do not believe they are actually egyptian cotton because they look and feel way too cheap! Because of their poor quality I never want to buy anything from Overstock.com! Do yourself a favor and do not buy these towels!

The first time I washed and dried these towels (I purchased the 6-pc set) an ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE amount of lint--actually the material--separated from the towels. It seemed that the soft areas of the towels simply SEPARATED from the towels--my machine and dryer were FILLED with continuous BLANKETS of this lint. It was incredible.The other reviewers are happy with these towels, so it may be I purchased (April 28, 2009) a BAD set of towels. I am certainly going to return these!

For the price, these towels are great. If you are looking for soft, luxurious towels, you have to spend a lot more money than this!

The price was great. I was hesitate at the toast color, if I would match my current towels and rugs. However it was a perfect match. They seemed thin when that arrived. But after I washed them they fluffed up. I find them very absorbunt and Iuxurious. AnnofCarrollton

I THOUGHT THE TOWELS WOULD BE MUCH THICKER, BUT THE ARE VERY SOFT & ABSORBENT. MY HUSBAND REALLY LIKES THEM. I WOULD PURCHASE THEM AGAIN !!!

Not nearly as nice as other "luxurious" towels purchased through Overstock. Size and color are as represented but weight and quality are lacking. Hoped that they would fluff up after washing but they did not fluff enough.

These towels were great. I bought them for my sister and brother-in-law for christmas and you would think that a towel set could get such a reaction. They are soft but also absorbant which is really good in a towel. I found the price to be very good compared to other retail or on line sources. I was also impressed with the way they were packed for shipment, just the right type of packing was used so that I didn't end up with a bunch of boxes and stuff that was not needed and then I have to work out how to dispose of them. I have recomended these to others and have even dropped hints of getting them for myself. A great purchase.
