Total let down!

ejsmommy from La Mirada, CA, Jun 7, 2009

Okay, first just let me say this is my own opinion and I know some of you love your satin sheets, I thought I would too. I was really excited to get these when they came, living in So.Cal. I thought they would be great to crawl into on a hot night and I thought that I would love them. When they came I was really excited so i washed em and threw em on the bed....YUCK, I HATE THESE FREAKIN SHEETS! I'm sure it is only me, but not a big fan of the slippery sliding you do on em. Also I really couldn't stand laying on them, I can't explain why, it just didn't feel right or comfortable at all. They feel cool for just a few minutes, then if possible they sort of stick to you. (I'm a really warm sleeper, it is probably my body heat) Again I know some of you really like these but not me. The quality of the sewing on the seams and elastic is pretty shoddy also. I couldn't wait to get them off the bed and into the goodwill bag! I really did want to like these, but alas, it was not to be... :-)

Black Satin sheets

rich15 from Colby, Kansas, Jun 5, 2009

Pretty nice especially for the price. I washed them up in cold no problem. They are slippering little devils but that is the nature of the beast!

sheets

judy666 from tampa bay,FL., Jun 4, 2009

The sheets are very nice looking, and are very comfortable. However when I washed them I followed the directions and they bled out a lot and there are threads fraying already on the ends after first wash.

Fantastic value!

punkinberry from Jonestown, PA, Apr 21, 2009

This was my first set of satin sheets. They are remarkable for the price. Great value. Thus far, they've held up great through 2 launderings. That being said, I did have to pack them away and return to our cotton sateen variety. My husband hated how slippery they are. Our pillows did slide around and eventually off the bed in the middle of the night, and he said he couldn't sleep for the two weeks they were on our bed, because he felt as though he had to hold on so he wouldn't slide right off. Really, you'd just have to see a 6 foot man demonstrating (in a fetal position) how it was necessary for him to hold on. At any rate, if you enjoy satin, these sheets are definately for you! I'm thinking they'll be perfect for summer, so it wasn't a wasteful purchase for us.

Slippery sheets

newtodresses from San Francisco, Apr 20, 2009

This was my first set of satin sheets and I was a little disappointed. They feel nice (after washing them) but they make my blankets fall off the bed when I toss and turn because they are so slippery. The reason for the low rating is that you can tell that the construction is poor (you can see jagged lines where they cut the fabric before sewing it.).
