These are ivory not white but the issue is they are so thin and flimsy, that you can see the street light still shining through them at night. They are no different than the sheers I had up with regards to blocking any street light. I have a thicker pair of velvet curtains from another big world store that although more expensive, are worth the expense than these ones made of a thin fabric. I have shirts with a thicker quality velvet than these ones I made the mistake of buying. If it's just a light pair of curtains you need without needing to block light or insulate, then these are "ok".
The seams on this fabric were awful! The fabric was fraying on all of the sides and was cut jaggedly. The color and quality of the curtains is nothing like the picture. I wish these were of better quality. They look like an old blanket hanging on your window.
hard to find velvet curtains at this price. I got the white ones...they have a bit of crinkly pattern to them, which I didn't initially like, but they are growing on me. I usually buy Ikea's velvet curtains but they have the big silver rings at the top and don't come in white, so I got these. Not bad for the price but I wish they were smooth velvet sans the "crinkles". They do hang well.
