This is a great unit, definitely a step up from my last lasko tower fan. We use a tower fan/cooler in our bedroom during the hot summer nights, as they help both of us sleep a lot better. This unit is quiet enough on the low and med setting to not disturb our sleep. It's also powerful enough on high to cool off the whole room without any issue. In the higher altitude, the added humidifier/evaporative cooler function works really well. It gets very dry during the summer, so the added moisture also helps us both sleep better in addition to cooling the place down. The timer is nice and the oscillation works well. I'm also a big fan of the natural mode, which shifts the speed up and down randomly - I think it's supposed to simulate a tropical breeze. It's very easy to use right out of the box, and also includes a remote so we can change speeds or turn it off without having to get up. Over all, we're very happy and would certainly recommend this to anyone else.Read More
I show dogs, and at night they are crated in a 7x18 dog room. I live in Tucson, AZ, a very dry climate, and though I run ceiling and pedestal fans all summer, they don't really cool that much. I purchased two of these, and they not only cool beautifully, but put moisture into the air. Good for dog coats in a dry climate! And if these are effective with thick-coated dogs, think about for thin-skinned humans. 8-)Read More
I didn't purchase this product thinking it would cool me like an air conditioner, but I was hoping it would be better than a fan and much less expensive to run than an AC. It exceeded my expectations and worked really well for me this past summer. I always used this with the window open so that I'd get fresh air in and it really did the trick. It was also light enough for me to move around my home. Great product!Read More
The cold packs were not included. The r sir leads you to believe there is. It does cool the upstairs very nicely.Read More
The Good: - First off, this unit looks great, and is not at all an eyesore - Easy to move around when we need to - Water tank easy to fill - Quiet - It comes with a remote control and two ice packs The Bad: - While it's a higher degree of plastic, it's still made of plastic. Still nice for under $150 though - Remote is small, easy to lose - Ice packs could be bigger Overall: - Great unit, works perfectly and does exactly what we expected it to. Recommended.Read More

For a number of reasons, we can't use an air conditioner, but our apartment is like a greenhouse and it's been almost 100 degrees every day for weeks now. This will only cool one room at a time and we put a lot of ice in the water tank, but it cools better than a fan (which can barely cut the blanket of heat). I like it at night in the bedroom to keep my 3-month-old baby comfortable. The shortest way to review the product: before the evaporative air cooler, when I came home from work, the heat made me want to die. Now I come home from work after my husband has been running it a few hours and while it's no a/c, I no longer want to die.Read More
This product does not cool off a room at all. It only blows around air. I would call it an overpriced fan.Read More
Questions & Answers
Hello aznancy, you are correct this will cover up to 100 square feet. I will have that corrected. Have a great day!
Thank you for your reply. As stated previously, I purchased this based on the information posted that it would cover 150 sq ft. I did open the box and review the owners manual-which prompted my question. Based on your response, this will not work for my area. Due to this inaccurate description, may I return this unused item?
Does this unit need a window for any kind of venting? Or is this something I can stick in a room with no window, and expect the same level of cooling?
Hello jb8888! This item does not require a window for venting, it is designed to work in small rooms and cubicles. Thanks for shopping with us! -Amanda P
No window..its a fan with a spot for water and ice packs beneath it to fan out cooler air
I need extra cooling in a 170 sq ft office where temps are typically 75-77 degrees. Not sure what the relative humidity is, but office is in a high rise in Atlanta with fixed windows.
Hello hotinga, Yes this will still cool your office in GA nicely. Thank you for shopping with us!
My need is to slightly cool my wine room to around 55-58 degrees F. Currently it stays around 63-65 degrees. Will this product achieve my needs? Also, are the ice packs totally enclosed...do you actually add ice or are they more like a cooler pack? Finally, how often would I need to change the ice pack in the environment mentioned above? Thanks
Thank you for your question. The exact cooling power of this unit will depend on the relative humidity level in the room. Evaporative coolers are designed for areas that are very dry and cool through the power of evaporation. Additionally, evaporative coolers typically work better in areas with ventilation and an open window/door, so this may not work well in an enclosed wine room. The ice packs are enclosed and do not require the addition of ice. They do need to be stored in the freezer to become cold, and should last for 3-4 hours in those temperatures before needing to be changed.
Is it the ice pack that makes the air cool? and how long does it stay cool before you have to replace the ice pack? and is there any condensation? could you place it on a hard wood floor surface?
The ice packs enhance the cooling effect, however, if you are in a dry environment, simply using water will also provide a cooling effect. Ultimately, the length of time that this item remains cool will depend on how warm your climate is. The unit does come with two ice packs, however, so you can always have one frozen and ready to go. Since this unit does add moisture to the air, there is a chance it may build on rare occasion, particularly within the water tank. The unit can be placed on a hard surface, but remember that the unit does add moisture to the air and increases the humidity level. Keep that in mind when placing the item on a wood floor or in a room with items that can be affected by high humidity levels.
Where does the ice pack go??
The ice packs go inside a bottom compartment in the back of the cooler.

Best Skirts for the Office
It is important to find a comfortable skirt to wear to the office that is appropriate yet stylish. Skirts are a staple of any wardrobe; they are also one of the most versatile pieces of clothing and can be worn with sweaters, blouses or jackets. Depending on your office dress code, conservative or casual styles may be appropriate, so choose styles and colors that fit into your existing wardrobe. Wear long skirts for cooler weather. While the most popular women's skirts are hemmed around the knee, cold winter months are a great time to wear longer skirts. Formal long skirts, especially those made of silk or velvet fabric, are probably out of place in the office. Stick to cotton, twill or even wool fabrics for a professional look. Ruffles and pleats can also give long skirts a feminine touch. A-line skirts are the best shape for most women because they create a waistline and widen at the hem, balancing out larger hips. Select flattering skirt sets. To ensure your skirt looks as professional as possible for the office, find a skirt set with an accompanying jacket. You can pair the skirt set with any type blouse, including silk, cotton or polyester. For a clean look, wear a skirt and jacket with a blouse that easily tucks in and does not create a bulge or pull around the skirt waist. You can also pair women's skirts with separate jackets if you want to mix up the wardrobe. Choose a slimming pencil skirt. One of the most common and fashionable skirts to wear is the pencil skirt. It pairs nicely with a variety of blouses, sweaters and jackets, making it a versatile part of the wardrobe. The pencil skirt is flattering to all body types, from very thin to curvaceous women. The skirt's silhouette is straight at the waist and narrows at the knees, allowing it to hug all of the curves of the body. Look for a pencil skirt that has a slit or pleat in the back near the hem to allow for increased movement while walking. Find an appropriate casual skirt. Casual skirts can be professional and dressy enough to wear to work. For the office, look for skirts made of cotton, khaki material, linen or even wool to provide a comfortable option. Keep casual skirts mid-length, allowing them to fall either slightly above or below the knee cap. View All Skirts Back to Guides Directory View All Skirts
How to Clean a Computer Fan
Heat is your computer's number one enemy, which is why it has one or more fans to help push hot air out of the computer case and pull cool air in. Computer cooling fans are typically installed next to vents on your computer case, but your computer's processor may have its own fans and heatsinks, which sit on top of the processor chip. Dust and dirt then collect around the blades of each computer fan and may eventually cause the CPU fan to break or slow down. If any one of the computer fans breaks or slows down, heat builds up and may damage the processor or other components in the process. To protect your computer, follow these simple steps for keeping your cooling fans clean.
