I looked for a floor lamp for my bedroom for quite sometime. I finally found this one and chose it because my bed-side table lamps have burlap shades as well. The lamp was well-packaged and arrived with no problems. The lamp does screw together in four pieces. I love that you can't see the seams with this lamp, unlike many others. I do have to be careful with the shade in regards to its placement; I see that it is crooked right now. The narrow piece before the lightbulb is silver; I could not tell by the picture. I wish the wood had gone all the way up, but it's still okay.The lamp is shorter than I expected, but I just didn't pay close enough attention. I use it as an extra lamp by my secretary, and it works well. I can see using it in other rooms of the house as well, and that also played a role in my decision to purchase.

I really like the worn look of this lamp for the casual decor of our home. The green color accents our other furnishings nicely. I ordered one for the living room and liked it so well that I got one for the bedroom. The shades were a problem - they kept arriving bent. Overstock worked with me until I had two good ones, even though it took several tries. The only thing I don't like is that it's hard to keep the finial screwed in a way that keeps the shade straight. Crooked shades bug me. One lamp has more of a problem that way than the other.

This floor lamp was very easy to assemble. It has a heavy base, so I don't worry about it being knocked over by one of the children. This is a quality product. I also love the shade. It is a nice linen look.
