These glasses are perfect for everyday use, but are nice enough for any occasion. They have good weight/balance that prevents tipping. Strong enough to go through the dishwasher without fear that they'll be damaged. Excellent price and arrived promptly - as usual with Overstock.com. Definitely a great find, I'm thinking of purchasing add'l sets for holiday gifts - hope they don't sell out!
