These glasses were exactly what my wife was looking for. Heavy enough for stability but thin enough on top for sipping comfort. Other glasses we have had were to thin at the top they chipped easily or so thick that made it awkwuard to drink from. Do not recommend for children under 10 to big to hold.

Not very chip resistant as stated.
Lost 2 glasses their very first go in the dishwasher. So it's hand washing or china/crystal cycle only, can't risk a normal wash cycle again.
