I agree with previous comment on workmanship. Base wasn't damaged, but rods are not strongly connected to the base so it's very unsteady.Color is not as pictured. Mine is soft golden, slightly iridescent with subtle off white pattern resembling fish scales. More organic looking like cattails or p_ssy willows than the art deco look I expected from the picture.I like its look but glad I didn't pay more for it because of the color differences and unsteady base.
We ordered this lamp and are very pleased with the look and illumination from the piece. We wanted to use the lamp for accent lighting a corner of a large family room and wanted one that would also be unobtrusive. This lamp fits the bill just fine. However, the packaging for the lamp is below standard and it arrived with a damaged and crushed base. Based on previous lamp return experience, and the trouble encountered, we decided that we would place the lamp where the damage was harder to see and just move on. The lamp uses 3 x 40 watt type B lamps and puts out minimal light and should be used for accent purposes only since you will not be able to read with this lamp given the low wattage and colored sconces. Hope this helps.
