I dont write reviews, however need to tell people what this bed really is........ If you have a box spring and mattress this is NOT the bed for you, I ordered based on the Q&A from overstock customer care saying that you NEED a box spring, which I have. After spending over an hour putting this together - fairly easy with the exception that the support slats are hard to attach to the side rails since there are no predrilled holes in the side rails. Once assembled this frame will only work with a mattress, if you use your box spring you need a ladder to get into bed it is so high, the box spring sticks up above the side rails, the mattress sits halfway up the headboard and looks absolutely ridiculous. If you only use the mattress it looks very nice. The wood is a nice deep color and is very sleek and modern looking. Im just very disappointed that the information provided is not accurate and now I have a king box spring that I cant use.
