I was looking for a small cabinet with a "reclaimed wood" aka "barnwood" look to hold dvds. This fits the bill perfectly. I took a chance purely on the photo that I would like the color. There is no way you would call this espresso. It has a really nice faded brownish hue. At first glance as I took the pieces out of the box, I thought perhaps I wasn't going to like it. The finish isn't perfect and the color variation and grains don't match that well, but let me tell you when it all came together I was very pleased. Isn't that the point of the reclaimed look anyway? I put this together myself. Fortunately I had put a similar bookcase before so I was familiar with what to do with those locking connecter things. The instructions are just illustrations so if you are not handy you may have some trouble figuring it out but you will get there. Make sure you pay attention to the arrow on the round locking thing and turn it once you get the screw inserted. Quality is ok. I had a defective screw that I need replaced and the magnet latch was not centered but my husband will drill new holes. The doors don't line up perfectly but I guess that is part of the charm (lol). The back panel is just a flimsy insert with a plastic seam holding the two halves together. Once it is together you aren't going to care. The shelves are adjustable but only three choices an inch apart per shelf. If you use the standard spacing each shelf is about 9.5 inches apart. The unit seems sturdy and level. Overall I am very happy and think this was a great value.

The cabinet looks good but the construction was bad. Pins where you put top on side didn't match up so we had to screw them together. Had to set a plant on top so you couldn't see the screws. We have it on a screened in porch so it will work for the money.
This had so much potential and I was desperate to like it. I really like the color/shade, and the style, but it was very poorly designed/manufactured, and at the *** price point I was very disappointed. First of all, it took me 3 hours to put together and please believe me when I say I'm not an idiot. The biggest issue regarding the quality with this unit is it that is very unstable because the only parts of the base that are actually screwed on are these little plastic brackets screwed to the flimsy particle board that is the back of the cabinet. As a result there is nothing keeping the top and/or the bottom piece(s) to the side walls of the unit. I was finally able to put it together and get the doors even, but when I tried to move the unit to where I wanted to keep it the top popped off and the thing practically fell to pieces right there. Like I said, very disappointed by the product and frustrated with wasting time putting it together when now I will simply have to take it apart and ship it back. Overstock, at least drop the price of this to the ***range to reflect the lower quality and lower stability of this piece.
I purchased this cabinet as a bookcase for my cookbooks. It fit under my counter top in place of a counter stool. I loaded it down with cookbooks and it worked fine. I decided not to use the doors and leave it open but either way it is worth very penny. Very easy to put together.
Our cabinet arrived and looks great. During assembly I noticed that a bit on internal hardware (a piece that one of the supplied fasteners screws into) was missing. Assembled the unit without it, because it seemed silly to send the whole thing back for that. I can go back later and fix it by drilling a hole and using my own screw.
