Upon first opening up our futon mattress, I was pleased--looked nice and seemed comfortable. However, after only a month of using it as our couch, it became extremely lumpy and you can feel the springs! Turning often helps slightly but lumps develop within 1 week. When we put the futon flat for guests, a huge hump stays in the middle and is impossible to get to settle down. Additionally, the stitching on the "pockets" came out within the 1st month. Now 1/2 of them are missing. This was no "deal" since I am going to have to replace this piece of garbage and we have only had it for 3 months.
we love this futon mattress: my parents slept on it for two months when they came to visit and they could not believe it was a futon not a proper bed! my only concern was the colour: we thought it would be more brownish instead it looks very grey!

This is a very comfortable mattress (of course I am comparing it to a very old uncomfortable one!). It has a nice loft and is very comfortable to sit on. I do not use the futon as a bed so cannot comment on what it would be like to sleep on. The color is a gray sage, not very green. It is a bit short in the width but my bolster pillows cover the gap nicely so it looks fine on the frame. This was a good price for the mattress and I am very happy with it and would recommend it highly. Shipping took quite a bit longer than the usual for Overstock so don't be in a hurry for it!

I was very excited to get this-- as futon it seems okay. But within a few days the stitching detail on the surface came out in two places. Though the futon itself seems to be okay, I'm not impresssed with thet workmanship detail. I'm keeping it because it isn't a bad price for a futon and I don't have the energy to bother sending it back. I probably wouldn't buy more expensive piece of furniture from Overstock. Smaller items such as books -- sure but not the larger hard to return stuff.

This futon looks great and is very comfortable. I have had a bad back for years, and recently was waking up sore from my sagging mattress- this is a very firm futon, and so may not be for everyone, but if you like/need a firm mattress, this is great. My only gripe is the weight of it, because the frame I bought doesn't convert easily with it being so heavy, and I use it as my main bed. As a guest futon, it looks fantastic as a couch and is very comfortable, and you could always get a foam mattress pad if you think it's too firm.
