Very Heavy duty
This pan weighs about 15 pounds and is cast Iron. Special care must be given to cast iron cookware ie...is not dishwasher safe, do not use detergent on this and keep it oiled "seasoned" as it will rust. Over all this is a good product that will last for many years. Shipping was prompt.

I needed a new grill pan and this one is a winner. It gives great grill marks with even heat. Handle gets hot, as does the whole pan, but that's why it heats so evenly. Cast iron can be a challenge to clean but it's worth it. I also own a cast iron 10 inch pan that I love.

I love this piece! I got rid of my expensive all clad grill pan that lost it's non-stick coating and switched to this. I expect to have this for many years. It makes a great panini!
