Lodge is the best cast iron
You can't go wrong with Lodge cast iron cookware. It cooks perfectly. I use the set a lot from cooking corn bread in the oven to vegetables on the stove. Just be sure to clean and store correctly to maintain the seasoned coating. No harsh soaps or scrubbing or it will ruin the coating.

Lodge cast iron cookware is fantastic! I would highly recommend this to a family member or friend. If you've never cooked with cast iron you are missing out. Seriously. Lodge cast iron is made in the United States, and it is of heirloom quality. The lifetime warranty is invaluable, as Lodge Corporation replaced the broken skillet without question or cost to me.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality of this product is fantastic! I have no complaints about that. I've used it several times already and have had wonderful results, especially the non-stick properties of the pre-seasoned cast iron. However, one of the pieces, the 8" skillet, was broken during shipping.

Really Good Set of Cast Iron pot and pans
When I told my grandmother that I ordered a set of cast iron pots, she said that she will show me how to season them. I told her that they would arrive already seasoned. She didnt trust that they would so I waited until she came over to open the box. When she saw them she noticed that they were pre-seasoned and commented on the quality of them. When she approved of them, I knew I picked a winner!

Love this set!
I love this set! I priced the various pieces out separately and found that by buying them in this set I saved about $30.00, plus free shipping. They arrived well packed and in great condition, ready to go. I've never used cast iron skillets before and wanted to try them out after watching a movie about people touring the European countryside and eating in wonderful gourmet inns along the way. The "extra clips" showed that every single chef used cast iron skillets to cook everything! Fish, meat, veggies, desserts - you name it. I became curious and when i spotted this set at this priice, purchased it. This set will last a lifetime and is everything I'd hoped for - heats up quickly, evenly, sears and browns beautifully - fantastic purchase!

Lodge 5-piece cast iron cookware set
I love Lodge cookware. I have several pieces, but this was such a good buy I knew I had to order. Basically, I ordered because of the dutch oven. I did not have, but really enjoy.

Wellmade but still sticks a bit
This is clearly a high quality set. Despite the preseasoning, I am still having trouble with food sticking. Thus it is hard to clean. Since I am a cast iron novice, perhaps I need to get the hang of it. I am going to try to season it in my oven and hope for an improvement. Time will tell.

Great Cookware Set!
We have been very happy with this set of cast iron cookware. The Dutch oven is a nice size for smaller family meals. The small frying pan is perfect for cooking a batch of cornbread. The lid fits both the Dutch oven and the larger frying pan. Very useful sizes, nicely made, great price!

Not quite what I expected
I had been hunting around quite a while for a new, non stick pan set. My old one was chipping and I've been reading a lot of articles about how unhealthy this is. So, I wanted something that wouldn't chip and wasn't made non stick with unhealthy finishes etc. Fast forward to the Lodge Set. I had read some very good reviews so decided to purchase this set. To be honest, I'm really not a very good cook but I have been learning and trying to take somewhat of an interest in cooking for myself and getting healthier at this late stage of my life. This was going to be kind of a "reward" for myself for sticking with it. Well, the pans look amazing and they are extremely heavy! No problems there. However, on Day 1 when I came to make a simple scrambled egg dish, they stuck like glue! Also the handles get extremely hot, so I can't even touch them. I was kind of disappointed as I specifically did my research on the different non stick coatings! The pan lay in soak for much of the day, and when I came home from work, I had to scrub it like crazy to get the egg off. This has now happened every time I've used the pan and I can see that using any amount of oil or grease is not going to make much of a difference. I will continue to use the pans, but since I didn't pay a lot for them, I may end up trying to find something better that does not stick.
