Shower head

nrasumoff from San Francisco, CA, Mar 11, 2009

The shower head looks good but does not have a water saver feature. The head is heavy and hard to hold when hands are soapy. If water usage is not limited the head provides nice water flow to tingle the skin. The plastic hose is mutch too short and useless. I would say that the shower head is OK but not great.

Buyer Beware

onieda from UpState New York, Oct 8, 2008

I purchased this after reading the reviews and decided to pay the additional $10.00 for the steel hose but realized it doesn't matter if you have a steel hose being the majority of the other components are plastic. When trying to tighten the connector, it cracked because it was plastic, when securing the shower head, it cracked, again it was plastic. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone, extremely disappointing quality.

Fabulous!!!!

dvsnyc from New York City, Jul 27, 2008

I needed a new hose/handled shower head. The casing of where the hose screws onto the head on my current one was cracked and would often let loose with a steam of water if you tried to move or adjust the head. Sometimes it was a stream of water that shot over the shower curtain and into the bathroom... time for a new one. So I went to my old, trusted standby online retailer Overstock to see what they had available. I ordered this one (with the metal hose) and thought it would be a 50/50 as to wether or not I would be happy with it from the other reviews I read. Well let me tell you... I am ECSTATIC about this shower head! I think first most, I took the water limiter out like other people had mentioned, that was the absolute right thing to do. It was a bit hard to figure out where it was (actually in the piece that screws to the pipe coming out of your bathroom wall that you then mount the hose and head on) but I got that out and went on to install. I did need a pair of vice grips to loosen and tighten during installing, but not a big deal. I would for sure recommend you pay the extra for the metal hose. It hangs much better, is easier to use and just looks better. I will agree with the one review that said the handle is loose in the holder once you get the thing mounted, but if you have it as the right angle it doesn't seem to be an issue. It's nice and high if you are tall, and with the fitting being looser it's easier to pull out to use then some of the others I have had. I usually don't adjust the settings as far as the stream goes. I just have it on the basic shower setting, but it is fantastic. It is the best feeling shower I have had in this apartment going on 5 years now. And I don't know if the water limiter has anything to do with this, but I live in an older building and I used to have a terrible time with the water temp when trying to shower. I was forever adjusting and readjusting the hot and cold. It would switch from one to the other almost with no warning either sending ice cubes through the shower or scalding the flesh off your bones. And then when you would try and adjust, as in it was too cold so you would turn down the cold, it would get colder... it's one of my biggest complaints about this building I live in. Anyway, again... I don't know if the water limiter thing has anything to do with it but I hadn't taken it out of my old shower head assembly, but now that I have with this one it seems to have almost made the problem go away. Whatever it is, I love the shower head and pressure and I am just so so grateful that I can now take a shower without spending more time trying to adjust the temp than actually showering. Thanks Overstock!!

Hand Held Shower Head

Niffy from Minnesota, Feb 2, 2008

This is a very nice shower head the preassure is pretty good it is the same as the shower haed that was in our apartment the only thing I don't like about it is the fact that the plastic holder that holds the shower head is to big for the shower head so it fits in the sloppy loose and has fell off and hit us in the head a couple of times. I would highly recomend the steal shower hose for this shower head the plastic one is just a stiff peice of plastic hose.

Lukewarm

cabeman from Houston, Texas, Jan 12, 2008

What can I say? It's a regular shower head - nothing special. It looks nice, but the water pressure is nothing to be impressed with. We're going to try removing the filter like someone said in another review to make it better. Happy we got the steel hose because the plastic one that also comes with it is totally cheesy.
