Florida Fireplace

After reading the reviews, I've determined that people in Florida, Arizona, California...hot places love this fireplace. I live in Florida, so it's great for me. Shipping was fast. Item was in perfect shape. Fairly easy to assemble. There were two places where a hole should have been and wasn't, hence it's short a couple screws, but it doesn't seem to matter. It makes a bit of noise like an electric hum but it doesn't bother me and isn't bad. Not cold enough to use the heat function yet, but I will in the winter. The color matches our furniture perfectly, right down to the carved roses. For me, when I'm in the room reading, listening to music, talking to people, on the computer etc. (occupied) the fireplace is great. It has the calming, cozy feeling that I wanted and love. But when you're alone and you stare directly into the fireplace, it's not the same. It's not any where near as good as a real fireplace and you won't get that spaced out staring into the fire mind melt like a real fire can do. But for what it is, I like it. For a Florida home with no chance of having a real fireplace, it's a great second best thing.Thanks Overstock for a great product at a great price.

I love this Fireplace - it is the focal point of my living room. It looks great! I shopped around a lot and this was by far the best deal. The size of 42 x 42 is perfect. I live in FL, so it is great to have the look of a fireplace without the heat. My son put it together in about 30 minutes, but he didn't have any problems with it.

Looks fantastic!

The fireplace arrived in two boxes and were very well packed. I was able to assemble the fireplace in less than 2 hours by myself. It would have gone faster, but that included carrying all the pieces up our stairs, since I put it in our master bedroom. It adds just enough heat on those chilly nights, if you choose to turn the heat function on.

okay, but

Looks great, but minimal heating. I invested for a burst of heat AND AM DISAPPOINTED IN THE HEAT OUTPUT. The walnut finish is nice, but only looks good.
