I bought 2 of the light fixtures for my hallway upstairs and let me tell you it made a significant difference. It gave an amber glow not too bright but just perfect for my decor. The electrician was impressed and even ask where did I buy them. I am so excited about them and whenever I have visitors; I make a point to switch them on because I am so proud of my purchase. They were a little difficult at first since my hubby was trying to install it himself; In the end my electrician received a call and he had no problem with the the installation. He did not read the directions. Thanks O/S for a wonderful product.

the light came packaged fine and I was surprised to see it was actually the Hunter brand name. all pieces were solid and heavy. the glass part is thick and heavy. very pretty......now saying all that I agree with all other comments about the instructions. They are so misleading.I was actually putting it together just by the picture and my boyfriend walked in and saw me staring confused and asked why I wasnt going by the instructions and i told him they didnt make sense....so then he tried and within 20 minutes he came back and said if it was up to him he'd send it back. LOL. It can be done !!!

This light is so pretty. It's the perfect size for our small dining area and does cast a soothing "amber glow" like other reviewers mentioned. It installed very easily (despite the instructions). The first one we received was defective (had a cut wire inside), but Overstock customer service was amazingly helpful and took care of it immediately. We had our new light within 4 days; it works perfectly!

Placed the pendant above the dining table & when u turn light on in the day it has a smokey orangish look , really cute! Same way at night too but much too dim if its the only light you have in the entire room (only reason why I didn't give it a 5). You will most likely need other lights around unless you're going for a dim sexy look ALL the time. All in all it's a LOT nicer than I expected.

This is a great fixture. I agree with the other reviewers -- the instructions are a little bit lacking, especially because of the round metal "disc" that sits on top...slip on the opposite direction from the instructions, and you're all set. This fixture is also fairly heavy. After installed, it emits a beautiful warm glow below.

I purchased 8 of these to hang in succession down a long halway in my commercial office space. Wow! What a stunning display of amber lighting. The cherry wood accents compliment the cherry wainscoting lining the hallway. Due to the height of my ceilings the fixtures had to be altered (shortened) by my electrical contractor, without complications. Since I didn't install them myself I can not comment to the instructions, but my contractor had no problems. They are easily altered to different heights and can even flush mount on the ceiling is my understanding. I paired these with the Lincoln 6-Light Chandelier for my waiting room with great results and elegance. My project manager/designer laughed at me when I told her I was getting my lighting from OS.com. She changed her tune after she saw them installed! Overall an excellent buy!

The fixture itself is decent. However, throw away the directions before you take the whole thing apart and can't put it back together again. FYI, if you order this light, don't take it apart as the directions say. Instead, simply slip the large metal disk over the pole part and proceed to hang from ceiling. Otherwise, you'll wind up as frustrated as I was. It looks neat. It's a contemporary piece. Goes will with our cherry wood floor and stainless dining set.

I am extremely pleased with the beauty of this fixture. We have it in the hallway of the master bedroom. I had the electricians hang it and they said it was difficult to follow the instructions, so they figured it out on their own. I would recommend this fixture to anyone who wants to add a modest contemporary flare to a room.
